An interesting transit through Los Angeles this time around. I'm coming in from Phoenix, Arizona, and heading to Tokyo, Japan a few days after arriving in LA, so I wanted to get something close to the Airport. I stayed at the Geneva Motel on Manchester St. This was an interesting location. I didn't realize how close I was to Crenshaw St or Compton, so I was sure to be inside before sundown (for the most part). In all honesty it wasn't that sketchy of an area and would feel comfortable staying here again in the circumstances were what they were this time. There are plenty of options though.
On a day trip into the city I was able to cover pretty much all of the downtown area including Chinatown, Little Tokyo, Skid Row, the Fashion District, the Arts District and South Park (where Crypto.com arena is). Statues area strange. There are a bunch of statues outside the stadium and they're all a little off. You can tell you who statue is of but if they were warped in some sort of nuclear goo. It adds to the character I guess.
