This rumble had some of the most interesting stories going into a rumble in a long time. Brock starting at #1 , Drew , Ricochet , Keith Lee , Edge returning , everything was fantastic from beginning to end.
@@eddieescobedo9975 Seriously it went over an hour and it felt like there wasn’t a wasted minute at all. Made a legit star out of Drew that night Edge returning was the icing on the cake to make this an all time rumble. Top 3 IMO.
@@QTooReal I think it is at least top 5 Royal Rumbles IMO. 1. 2004 Royal Rumble 2. 2001 Royal Rumble 3. 1992 Royal Rumble 4. 2010 Royal Rumble 5. 2020 Royal Rumble
42:20 you can see the professionalism of both Edge and AJ styles. AJ hurt his shoulder after he took a spear from Edge earlier. He communicated with Edge knowing he is a veteran and knows how to handle the situation. After that, Edge eliminated AJ earlier than expected. Good communication and improvisation by both wrestlers.
One of the best in the industry, hearing his interview where he was talking about his neck surgery, he said he was worried when his arm started to atrophy incase he dropped someone and put them in the same position as him, that’s what made him decide to get it, true champion and superstar ®️♾

This match is so perfectly booked. From Lesnar's streak of dominance to McIntyre's star making performance, to Edge's return. All done perfectly, my favorite royal rumble
It isn’t my personal fav, but it is by all means one of them, and was such a fantastic match, with excellent moments. I loved it. This was a good one for sure.
I don't know about perfectly booked. Lesnar dominating superstar after superstar got pretty stale. The whole excitement factor about the Rumble is anticipating the entrances but after a while the crowd started to realize it didn't even matter cause Lesnar was going to dominate them in the most uninteresting fashion. It wasn't a bad rumble though. Got a lot better from Keith Lee entrance onward
If you could only ever shoow someone one Royal Rumble match ever, this would be it. Entertaining as hell, brilliant spots, and made a superstar out of McIntyre with a single kick.
Proof that Brock Lesnar could sell offence as well as anyone. Despite how dominant he was in the Rumble he stayed down for about 2 minutes after the claymore kick before slowly getting back to his feet again.
I feel so bad for everyone during the first half of the match, but then...they gave us one of the most amazing eliminations in Royal rumble history by Drew and an emotional return of Edge
imo it was played perfectly. give us someone to hate, make us think we're over it, return of legend, then we think Roman's gonna win, McIntyre comes back to our attention and gives us what we didn't know we even wanted, but the first half is essential
The storytelling was amazing in this rumble. Im so glad I got to watch this match live because there’s nothing greater in wrestling than watching the guy EVERYONE roots for finally get the win he deserves
I felt very bad for Drew because no one knew his wrestlemania match was going to be in an empty arena. No one knew what was coming just 2 months later.
That's true with the Rumble alone WWE made a new star next to Roman in Drew but Drew deserved his moment in front of fans tbh he still deserves that for being one of the pillars of the pandemic era.
Haha honestly the funniest thing in every WWE video is seeing green shirt guy in EVERY SINGLE PLE, Raw and Smackdown in the exact same front row seat hahaha. He's either super rich or knows someone, people are always on his instagram asking wtf it is
The return of edge made me tear up. The pop was so loud it drowned his theme song out completely. The look on his face is what did it. That's the loudest pop of the match, of the night, and possibly of Edge's career. Not only was this an amazing moment in wrestling history, but the lyrics to Edge's entry theme punctuate the moment more than the theme of possibly any other wrestler.
I used to hate Edge as a kid because of all the drama with Lita and Viky. But he became my most beloved wrestler in exactly this moment. What a crazy return. Would have been crazier if he had won this Royal Rumble and not the next one.

Yeah, you can tell when it went south after that spear. The entire OC was probably meant to be in the ring at the same time. Probably taken out by team RKO anyway.

This Rumble was good. I know a lot of people felt that “BROCK SMASH” went too long, but it was worth the wait. Of course, Edge had one of the best Rumble entrances ever.
This rumble was a joke it was entertaining somewhat. But bc WWE spoiling entrances the rumble has become a joke. I'm surprised they didn't spoil edges return or drew mcintyre winning.
@@davidtristan3891 you're kidding me, there were 8 formers royal rumble winners in this match, 12 formers world champions more than other years, edge returns, lesnar starts with the number 1was absolutely amazing!!! This royal will be very difficult to overcome around the next five years...
Edge outsmarting orton and tossing him out is so good, “you gonna try to RKO me?! I’ve been around too long kid” is also such a perfect line, ultimate opportunist out-snakes the viper
The more times I watch this match, the more I think it might surpass '92 and 2001 as the best Rumble of all time. God tier crowd-baiting with Brock running through the first half of the field followed by Drew becoming an instant mega-star by eliminating Brock, Edge's return, and then Drew's eventual victory by eliminating the still polarizing, at the time, Roman Reigns was just perfect
This was really one of the best modern Royal Rumbles. The way Lesnar was booked, the Keith Lee interaction, McIntyre eliminating him, Edge's emotional return, Rated RKo reunion & the drama filled final minutes leading to McIntyre winning and instantly becoming main event status.
That McIntyre Lesnar moment is something that I'll never forget. I got chills watching this over again. This moment made McIntyre a star. This event made McIntyre a star

Shoutout to in ring awareness by Edge and Aj Styles. Styles was clearly hurt after that spear from edge and you can see see edge and aj talking about eliminating himself early due to his shoulder injury. Edge immediately understood and safely sent him on his way. Gold standard!!

@@stonecold6022 Edge was one of my favorites, seeing him come back and looking to be in the best shape of his life was a great moment, not to mention seeing how excited Randy Orton was to work with Edge again.
I forgot I was playing 'slow motion' and started watching...And this is the reason why I understand that these are really great actors... In fact, they deserve an Oscar...😂😂
It's been 2 years now since Edge made his return, I still get chills and shocked by his return by the fans pop-up reactions. Happy 2 year anniversary to Edge's return to WWE after 9 years at the time.
Thank god the pandemic didn’t ruin: Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Mysterio teaming Keith Lee’s entrance McIntyre eliminating Lesnar Edge’s return McIntyre winning the rumble Without the crowd pops these moments would be ruined..
This royal rumble match was literally perfect. I wasn't a fan in that time of brock eliminating everyone, but the building to get drew mcintyre over and a credible opponent for brock is amazing.
Brocks domination streak gave me the same vibes I had when I watched Thanos destroy the avengers, no matter how much they tried they just couldn't defeat him.
The first 30 minutes of this match is one of the best booked rumble matches. WWE did an amazing job to put so many people go over by making Lesnar seem unstoppable. That reaction when Drew claymore kicked him was amazing to watch. Kieth Lee was so over i hate the WWE didn't do nothing with him after. He should have got a big push
didn't keith lee become nxt champion and north american champion at the same time? that's as much cooking as ultimate warrior when he defeated the WWE champ Hogan as an US Champ
Imagine the crowd's reaction when Christian returned. Sadly he couldn't feel it today. He would've gotten the same reaction like they gave Edge. Awesome to see Edge and Christian back in the same ring nonetheless 🤟🤟
The first 30 minutes was the most entertaining part Lesnar tossing everyone out of the ring dancing to MVP theme and hugging Shelton Benjamin. It got boring in the middle wirh midcard jobbers but final 10 minutes was entertaining af. I remember i had no idea whos gonna win at those final moments. This was the best Royal Rumble of 2020s.
Now, THIS is how you build a star. Having Lesnar run through the Rumble like that, and then Drew takes him out. Incredible booking that solidified Drew's status.

39:15. The sheer moment overcomes him as he wanders through the smoke. Incredible shot, one of the greatest visuals in wrestling history. He loves wrestling more than anything and that's why we connect with him.
You just know they're gonna do some spooky Fiend/Alexa bs in both rumble matches... It's one of the many reasons I'm not looking forward to it. They can't do that with fans, which is what this match desperately needs.
can you put a spoiler, i mean i don’t really care about the men’s royale rumble but i know a lot of people pay attention to the men’s division more than i do
It’s crazy how nostalgia works, because as a kid I HATED RatedRKO and I mean HATED them but when I saw them talking I had the biggest dumbest smile on my face😭
One of the greatest Royal Rumble matches of all time. From the dominance of Lesnar, the start of Drew Mcintyre achieving his destiny and one of the greatest returns in history with Edge after 9 nine years.
When lee came out I died when Brock looked shocked then said “big boy” and started to use his hands to emphasize it 😂😂 I don’t like Brock but that had me on the floor crying, dude has some balls for that one. 🤣
One of the greatest royal rumble matches of all time, and with the greatest return ever, when Edge returned, I still remember the shock and excitement I had watching this match back in 2020, when Metalingus by Alter Bridge was played, and Edge returned in doing what he loves, Edge will forever be my favourite wrestler, and he is one of the greatest of all time!
1:00:48 Edge's and Orton's facial expressions are just too good haha. So fun to see these two in the ring, their synergy is still there after all these years.
This match reminded me of how good Brock is. Like he always has these super dominate matches. But when he has to sell and do spots he is so clean and ring-aware. It’s easy to forget how technical he can be
I've said this for years but Brock is one of the best sellers in the history of the WWE. He makes every move look legit and like a proper MMA fight. Say what you want about him being part time but when he performs he makes guys look unreal.
39:52 Thank you for editing this, when this was aired a year ago this camera angle switched into the audience, missing the first spear. Props to the editor.
One of the most self-aware moments in wrestling history, Elias coming out singing "Sacrificial Lamb," knowing exactly what's gonna happen to him in the ring
Well, it happened right as the pandemic was exploding. So, chances are, the virus was all over that stadium and a crapload of people got infected at that event.
They screwed up John Morrison’s return last year. He could have been a surprise entrant. Yeah rumours broke out at the time he re-signed with WWE but they still could have done something special with him
At least this was the final star studded Royal Rumble for the very last time. All the biggest superstars were participated in this match. I really enjoyed this match very much.
Greatest Royal Rumble ever ! Domination of Brock, then Drew's entry , Edge's return, the best last remaining men and the end. The stage and everything perfect.
What a performance from Brock Lesnar this was.He was clearly having a blast out there and his reaction to finally being eliminated was superb.Brock gets it, he knows how it should be done.
