It’s pity that neither wtt or ITTF or any table tennis magazine mentioned that and the lack of news on table tennis player is very huge there is no article about xu xin, liu shiwen or fang bo, Zhang jike or any player when they get disqualified,retire,sick, banned or anything.

@@cocochocko3783Her style wasn't pleasing on the eye. Too much blocking, and just sticking the bat out. Became pretty effective against LSW I admit. Also, she seemed to moan a lot at her coaches during matches (from my reading of body language). As though she was blaming them when, sometimes, she was playing really badly. Finally, there was some frustration at the fact Ishikawa was incapable of beating her after 2014 (I think), while she racked up an unusually large number of defeats to other foreign players. Nagasaki, Ito, Feng Tanwei and (my favourite) Li Jiao spring to mind.

Because the Japanese table tennis association chose hina hayata and hirano for single in Olympic and miwa with them for team That mean all three have been chosen as the new main force for the Japanese team in wtttc and Olympic dou to itos condition of losing to hirano in race to Paris Olympic losing to Chinese player and miwa incredible performance against Chinese in world team mixed championship and in wtt final against sun yingsha and her performance in Asian games witch was remarkable. So Hayata: won wang yidi in 2023, 2 times almost won against sun yingsha and Chen meng and won the all Japan championship for the 3 time scoring over 800 point for Paris Olympic selection winning the first spot. Miu hirano: won against wang yidi in 2023. won against sun yingsha in 2023( witch is the only player winning internationally against sun yingsha). Almost won against Chen meng in Asian games. Winning over 500 point for Paris Olympic and taking the second spot. Miwa harimoto: almost winning against sun yingsha and wang manyu and wang yidi. Played phenomenal doubles with miyu kithara in world team mixed championship. Reached the all Japan championship finale and the race 3 times in raw Witch put her above ito.

А попросту говоря, тактический просчёт руководящего состава сборной Японии . И не случайно, даже операторы постоянно показывали Мима Ито, намёкая, что всё могло бы сложится и не так. По мне дак, тренеры японской сборной поиграли этот финал сами).

@@user-fv8bt9og3z ito would have lost brutally to Chen meng look at 2023 world championship against Chen meng 4:0,Wtt Ljubljana 3:0, wtt final Nagoya 3:0. ito could not even take 1 set from Chen meng in 2023 what made you she would be able to win against Chen meng This time miwa was still better then ito but the only mistake the the Japanese team made is be risking the position be giving miwa the second spot in this championship instead of hirano and letting miwa play 2 matches witch was too match for her they should have let hirano play 2 matches against sun yingsha and Chen meng. If miwa took on want yidi it would have been easyer for her then Chen meng and hirano has better record against sun yingsha and Chen meng but over all it was still very close battle.

@@user-fv8bt9og3z miwa is only 15 years old and that was the mistake that the Japanese coach did be chosing her in 2 games over hirano an as pressure was very high for her she couldn’t over come the pressure witch led to their Los.

Don't you know anything? Wang Yidi actually made only a few mistakes, and most of her mistakes were made by Miu's skillful ball handling. Best of all, Miu's back-to-back rally technique has evolved to the point where it is on par with Chinese athletes.

@@briankomada0811Miu played well, but Wang Yidi looked really stupid in this game anyway. Why did she keep rallying using her backhand with Miu, whose strength is backhand? I think Wang’s serve was very plain with few variations. She was not flexible at all in this game. So I agree with @shilongecho2840’s comment. I don’t think Wang Yidi is on par with other top Chinese players such as Sun Yingsha, Chen Meng and Wang Manyu, in terms of the winning rate against non-Chinese, especially Japanese, players. All the other three players I mentioned have some special and varying skills to use in important and difficult games, but I don’t see that in Wang Yidi’s game. Maybe you are not Chinese, so you don’t know the background story of why Yidi was even able to present in this game. It’s fine for you to enjoy Miu’s performance, and she had beaten Sun Yingsha once before, but comparing her with Wang Yidi is not something for Miu to be proud of :).

I don't think WYD was particularly bad at this game, but just revealed some weaknesses that she always had. WYD is not as good as adapting to various shots and changing the tactics compared to her colleagues, and has a habit of trying to stick to the safe game. WYD's tactics are always "just keep returning until the opponent misses and attack when there is a chance". This works for almost everybody because she is so stable and is good at defence, but as @komadabrian3447 pointed out, in this match Hirano was doing a good job at making subtle changes in the backhand rallys which made WYD make mistakes. WYD couldn't change the tactics because the usual stable back to back rallys were also working for her for some extent, but when she went 0-2 down you can see she finally made changes and tried to aim at Hirano's middle to forehand area. When that didn't work there were no solutions left and had no choice but to return to playing safe.
