Don't bite to these clowns mate! I don't normally comment but people are annoying!!! You're doing a great job, its tough being self employed and on top showing the world! Take my hat off to you! People's dont know what goes on behind the scenes...keep going bro!

This comment is bang on some customers who will try and get anything for free he's gone for MDF to avoid paying plaster. At the same time, I'm trying to get it at the same price as the plaster board. Not to mention changing sizes. If any customer touches my tools, I'd ask them to leave the room. Your insurance wouldn't cover their injuries

Wow, the customer changing his mind on the tv size is quite simply mind boggling. You would think this would be the very first thing he would have decided on! I would have said ok, no problem. You pull it all apart 😂

Yo man, you did an amazing job... I also do custom work... I do have a few tips I'd like to share with you, but I don't want to come off as criticizing... Let me know if you'd like me to share... One thing I will say openly is never sell yourself short... Your work speaks for itself and you should be compensated for that... In my opinion, you're not just charging customers for the length of time it takes, but also for the quality of the work... I would've charged double of what you charged... Always take pictures of your work and show future customers if you aren't doing so already... Overall man, great job and ignore anyone that gives you negative feedback... Keep it going bro!

That’s full of rubbish he’s not selling himself short at all. I hope he doesn’t listen to you on that part. If customers see his price as reasonable that’s competition for you as someone in the industry NOT him. This is why so many British business close down and self employers are losing out on customers, because customers go to foreigners in favor of them due to the costs. Especially now that everything is hard. As a customer I will go where the price is reasonable, then make recommendations to all my friends/family etc which means in the long run he will win. Customers will be loyal to the business. Even with landscapers businesses, more and more people are moving away from hiring British individuals because of this very reason. No one wants to spend ridiculous amount of money on things they can live without so British individuals like you with businesses needs to wake up and study the way in which society is spending and on who. If you don’t adjust you will close down sooner or later like so many and that’s a fact. Also, More and more people are taking up DIY’s too for this very reason or going to foreign workers to get the jobs done at a reasonable cost. It doesn’t matter how well you think your work is, if the price is ridiculous you won’t have longevity.

Absolute sterling work buddy. Using the MDF really gives a much cleaner finish, a little pain in the butt for you, however as an overall finish it looks stunning. Just keep doing what you are doing there is no right or wrong way with the videos - just keep it real. Love and peas. 👍

I’m recently qualified from college myself and enjoy watching your videos! I think if you could ask you’re apprentice all the topics he needs to cover for his apprenticeship and then making detailed videos about them (obviously when/ if you ever cover the topics yourself), it would be really helpful to all other apprentice’s out there watching! Your vids are real easy to watch and not boring so keep it up mate

I watch all your videos and while I may not tackle the jobs in the same way as you I love to see how other people work and overcome problems. We all have our own way of working and its the results that matter. I get very anxious when I don't have a clue what exactly the customer wants when I turn up but they sometimes prove to be the best jobs.

Nice work my friend. Good to see the younger generation making a go of being self employed, as I know it’s not an easy decision to take when you have a young family. I’ve just recently retired after 50 years of being self employed and doing this sort of work. I have never advertised my services and my whole life’s work has been by recommendations and lots of repeat customers. Always strive to turn up on time, do a good job and always clean up after yourself, then you will thrive! Well done! 👍

£1200, that was my guess and I was bang on the money!... One of my first carpentry projects was a built in tv wall, way back in 2012. That was for a 42" TV. The aperture that I made for that size actually suits my 55" Sony Oled better as the screen now sits flush with only the bracket in the back. It looks like I've got a 5mm thick TV screen on my wall.

As a chippy myself for 36 years in the uk I think u did a good job for the money you asked. Built out of mdf is OK and better than plasterboard because it can be altered without the hassle of replastering. You could have glued the edges on the face so they don't open in future. Hope your apprentice has improved 👍
