Jokic deserves the MVP for sure. But I'm just having a hard time celebrating Games 3 and 4 against the Wolves. The unprecedented change in ref style, mid-series, to strip the Wolves of their ability to play D is a bit much for me. The playoffs have always been reffed physical. Always. Until we were down 0-2, that is. Then it changed for the first time ever. And i understand basketball deeply so i get how major of an advantage that is for us in this matchup. Idk, i want a ring. Just not like this. Its all too much especially with Murray not being suspended and no consequences for what Coach Malone did, and yet Ts for Wolves just looking at a defender? And the 4 game break when the momentum was against us? Heck, now that we have the momentum there has been 3 games in 4 days ffs. There's obviously way more but i can't cover it all. Everything together is too much for me. And with the small fanbase MN has, i feel like someone needs to stick up for them.
@rwii4863 Yeah see this is the problem. We have so many bandwagon fans that we've turned into the new Lakers... whining and complaining even when the refs FAVORED us in Games 1 and 2 (we had advantage in both free throws and fouls called) and now the league listened to the whining. This is the first time I've ever seen such soft style reffing in the playoffs, since we were down 0-2, in my life. I'm 40. We may have just ruined basketball if this keeps up. And if so, I will not be supporting Denver anymore. What's worse is: I reviewed Games 1 and 2 closely. MN did not play illegal defense. That's a fabricated narrative with no truth behind it. They played GOOD defense, which we're not used to. They have 5 players in the top 20 for defensive win shares. 8 in the top 40. Gobert at 1, Ant at 4. They're an all-time team, defensively. And apparently now our bandwagon fanbase just can't handle losing and can't handle good d, so we accused them of illegal defense (which is totally false) and the league parachuted in to save us after that by making the ref style so soft that no team can play any D at all. This is just something I can't support anymore.
@rwii4863 What's worse is all the bandwagon Denver fans doing this can't back up a word of what they're saying. They're just repeating what they heard others say as an excuse cuz bandwagoners can't handle losing. I mean, look at your reply. It literally just says "nope!" You make no attempt to back up why you're disagreeing. It's just all emotional based. And that's the problem with bandwagon fanbases. They ruin everything cuz they just can't handle losing and whine too much, even when favored already. MN has such a small fanbase they can't defend themselves, too. They have no voice. The league only cares about money and our fanbase is totally taking advantage of it. I just can't support this anymore. It's out of hand.
@@rwii4863 Not a single thing you just said made any sense whatsoever, to the point that it's hard to even respond to. 1. I'm 40 and have been a Denver fan my entire life. 2. I'm not whining about losing, I'm pointing out that the new bandwagon fans need to stop doing that. We lost games 1 and 2 fair and square. There was no illegal defense and any honest person can see this. 3. All the whining from bandwagon fans has caused the league to make an unprecedented and seriously unfair mid-series change to reffing style, which basically handed us Games 3 and 4. I am complaining about WINNING these games unfairly. Playoff ball has always been called more physical. Always. It is completely unfair that the league changed it, for the first time in NBA history, to super soft reffing so that an all-time defensive team can't even play any D at all. It's absurd.
