Nah 100% they have reduced your chance to win for sure. They say it’s like 1 in 4 on the back of the card but it’s 1 in 10 and most of the time you just win the money back that you spent l.

Some how this came up in my recommended viewing after I watched a video of the restoration of a beautiful classic 1920's sailboat, that had production levels to equal of the best mainstream TV documentaries, Its been out for a couple of months and only had 40000 views, yet a middle aged bloke sat in a van with a gambling addiction and poor lighting gets near 170000. WTF is up with RU-vid.
I am afraid that I did. 🤦♀️ I am that bored that is actually wanted to test the old 1 win in 4 scratch card theory plus it did give me the education that the whole thing is a complete con as non of the cards had a win of of £2 or £4 minus the times ‘X’ thing. You need to save £250 wait for Cheltenham festival 16th march and put £20 on on supreme novice hurdle fav apprentice it £20 5/2 £70 back, Arkle fav shiskin £110 for £190 back, champion hurdle fav epatante £40 6/4 for £100 back. Been a Cheltenham follower since 1996 and thats best time in year to bet on jumps racing all best horses are there.
Really don't know why I am here, never done a scratch card in my life and no interest to start. Would have been better to give half of the money you spent on these cards to a worthy cause and just kept the rest in your pocket?
i spend over a grand on scratch cards about 5 years ago over some months and when i won £80 on a crosswords one i stopped buying them altogether and was just ahead in profit and so got the opportunity to pack it in. I got lucky, but still 99.9 percent of people overall lose. Don't waste your life on these.

I remember the day I was of my nut and brought a good £20 worth n threw a £50 win away until my mate checked it and was like you throwing away cash n I was like what you mean he’s like you’ve won 🤣🤣 so ended splitting it with him 🤣
There’s a short story of a local lad to me he was in a Tesco store and his last £2 he bought one of these but the gold edition and he won £250,000.... 12 month later his bank balance was £0
I knew a girl back in the early 90's when these started she bought 30 x 1 pound scratch cards and won 25,000. She did say that nearly every card was a winner. i.e. there were several 10's, 20's and 50's as well in a row before the big one. There was a story/rumour that they printed the jackpot cards like this. A woman my mother in law knows in 2018 won a million on a scratch card. It does happen but is very very very rare. I have hardly ever bought one and the best I get is a free go or a quid.
Gambling is a Mugs game !I used to go around my Nan's house most Saturdays way back in the day when I was a kid.She used to do the football pools .Never won anything. She just used to swear alot at the TV when the football results came in Lol!
God I remember having a little scratch card addiction, most I saw was 250. Spent way more getting there naturally. Never again. But if you have lots of disposable money and you get fun from scratching cards there are worse ways to spend your money I guess. There's like a sweet spot of disposable income that makes it not so bad. Better than if you were you were to just eat or drink the money for example. But by and large most people should avoid them, and the shitter is it draws the people who need money the most in. I say buy a single lotto ticket each draw and have a bit of hope in your life instead of buying a bunch of cards each time you go the shop. On thing I learned though was the £5 and £10 cards are the best, they have best odds by far. The cheaper the card the worse the odds. You get 1/3 on the best £10 cards of making your money back. And a not shit chance of getting a £50 or £100 win. You can see their tactics at work here though, they toss in cards with loads of small winnings like 10 £2 wins and it gets you excited. So much emotional manipulation in the scratch card game:p
