Doug, the Radiator core you have in the Radiator on the Peterbilt is a highway designed Radiator. Ask your local Radiator shop to Recore the Radiator to a flat fin core. The highway core is a louverd fin core. It will plug up very fast in the field. Just trying help out. I was in the Radiator business 22 years. I enjoy all of your guys videos. ahh - the good times when you could bring your radiator in to get redone. There was a guy in St. Paul, MN (my home city) that was awesome. I do not think there are many around any longer that do that. The big tanks with chemicals that you guys use in your process of redoing it. Thanks for your work - I use to burn radiators in my racing days all the time and bring them to him. Big German dude - "ahh - you again" . Good times.

Added moisture for increased weight of soybeans. Meat packers do that to all the meat they sell. Brine is injected into the meat for added weight. Except they call it “flavor enhancers”. Good meat doesn’t need “flavor enhancers”, the flavor stands on its own.

We had the same issue with our truck. We went through 2 OEM radiators then we put an aftermarket radiator in and problem solved.

That clutch fan on manual takes about 10 horsepower. If you got turbos or a blower then you have a air cooler in front of the radiator , and then the AC condenser in front of that. Now on tractors you also have hydraulic cooler , but that all kind of folds out or slides out so you can blow them out decent but not so on a semi tractor.

Doug’s, don’t blame the truck manufacturers. Blame the EPA. They come out with all these emission regulations that are mandatory, then the engine manufacturers have to figure out how to reduce emissions and truck manufacturers have to figure out how to make stuff fit. The newer emission engines require more cooling since they run hotter to burn the fuel and exhaust. I hope you’re not having too much trouble with the PACCAR engine. The reason Cat stepped out of the truck engine business is because of the EPA.all truck manufacturers push their proprietary engines in order to capture the business. International dropped Cummins for a few years and made their customers furious and they brought them back. PACCAR thought about it at one time but they stuck with them. Stick with Cummins power if you can. I’ve retired from the business a few years back and don’t keep up with any of it. I have grandkids that take up my spare time. I do enjoy your videos, family and farm.

I was getting worried after Dougo finished getting the hood closed and the wallaby smasher back in the defensive position, it was easy to notice his red warning light on his head was blinking to let us know he was close to system overload! However I guess his radiator wasn't plugged up and a meltdown never happened but those of us who knew, well we knew.

Im currently running a KW 2022 w-900B with a x15 Cummins 620HP and my buddy that works for Kenworth on their rebuild team (and works on my rig) told me that over a conversion we were having cuz I said the same as you and he said that’s not exactly accurate some rigs yes but yours is 75hp so take it for face value but it’s still a shit ton of power for a fan…

Hey dougo, did you know that you should never use your steering wheel to climb in and out of the cab? Your body weight pulling on the side of the steering column getting in and out of the truck actually breaks the adjustable steering column? I use to get kicked in the butt as a young bloke from the old guys for doing it… plus I ran the same steering wheel in all my kenworths as you have in that comfortable looking 2014 pete.

Cleanfix air makes reversible fans we use on our trucks. Just put them on this year. You push a button in the cab and it changes the fan blades to reverse the air flow and blows out your radiator. Works pretty good.

Soybeans Yield about 4500 pounds per acre. Wheat about 3,000 pounds. American rice yield record is 231 bushels per Acre. The record corn yield is 600 bushels per acre or 36,000 lbs of feed grown on a single acre of land!! Even 250 bushels per acre most Skyland farmers have seen in the Midwest at least a time or two a decade are growing 15k pounds of food on an acre. Such a fascinating time to be alive.

The engineers will tell you that they get more cooling with more fins because of tighter fin spacing. That might work in a clean environment like a hospital operating room but it doesn't work in the real world.

Great video. I've seen on other channels they flip a switch and the radiator fan runs backwards. It's on smaller stuff but you guys are able to get it. I have faith.
