Welcome to a plein air illusion of the Niagara River's Whirlpool Rapids, also known as Devil's Hole. In this match, we are on the edge of a very tall, steep gorge. Vultures circled me throughout the process, which was both amusing and spooky!

🌊 Whirlpool Rapids:
The Whirlpool Rapids are a seven minute or so drive from Niagara Falls. This water will be tumbling right over the Falls! You'll notice the gorgeous turquoise coloring - that's actually caused by minerals in the water, not pollution. The Niagara River was (and still is) used to generate renewable electricity, which earned Buffalo the nickname "City of Lights."
🌤🕶 Overcoming Challenges:
During this match, I overcame some challenges with lighting. I would have preferred a different angle, but that would have left me matching treetops only. I wanted to include the stunning turquoise Niagara River, so I made this angle work.
It was also very bright out, so much that I could barely see my camera screen to check my progress. I'm glad I stuck out this match, especially because of the interest the vultures added to the experience.
