Just think... all of us were living our daily lives during this time. Each day and night cycle had significance. We laughed, we cried, we worried, we ate and slept. And all the while, unbeknownst to us, a pumpkin was growing in front of a camera-one we would all watch grow together that we never knew had existed.
@Rhonetta Johnson oh god. Ok during the day the plant takes 25× more co2 than oxygen at night. And oxygen is not even that much. In experiments a plant can go nearly 30 day with out o2. Why because of co2. In the process of making a type of surger c02 and water produces oxygen. That oxygen can be retained if low atmo o2 conditions are present. Leave the plant without c02 it dies in 4 day. I learned this a long time ago.
I’m growing a pumpkin right now, and yes I am growing it in winter. But also the most amazing thing about it growing in winter is that ITS GROWING IN MY HOUSE but it’s growing just fine and the plants are just the right size and everything and it’s only been a week! It’s very cool to see how it does what it does.

Plants have a slow metabolism, in other terms they live "slower" than us (but not necessary longer), and it seems like this timelapse speed up the plant's metabolism up to ours, and it feels like the plant is breathing !
Mattéo Iachkine They do, search about plant respiration, it's a process in wich plants consume O2 and produce CO2, don't worry, the amount of CO2 produced it's way inferior to the amount of O2 they make, so it's nor dangerous neither a big issue, it's insignificant but it helps them repairing their cells.
Ah. Yes. Thank you for creating this video. You're the only one that showed a close-up of a pumpkin sprout that had the seed coming out of the ground. I'm growing pumpkin for the first time and I got worried. I thought maybe the seed was put in upside down or something. Haha. Nice to see the seed was more of an accidental cap and eventually the leaves and stem push it off during the growth. I'll just leave the shell where it is then.
The seed coat is simply for protection of the seed embryo. Once the first leaves push up you’re welcome to gently remove it, but the plant will also grow out of it on its own
Ani's Trash Can actually it was multiple day times one after another, then it switched to multiple night times, one after another. you can tell because towards the end, it shows you how a fast one day actually passes by.
Everyone’s triggered by the slug, I was thrilled for the little guy! I’ve found holes in my plants before, so cool to see how it actually happens and him just munching away is cute.. also the pumpkin plant survived no problem and grew to be freakin enormous but also got to feed other life along the way! It’s all part of nature, it’s awesome!
@@eilandwaynette I fully endorse organic gardening However, by killing as many as you can get you're inadvertently interrupting the natural cycle of the earth by doing so. However, many snails can cause havoc in a garden so that's personal preference. 🤷♀️ 🐌 I do understand. I try to relocate but they can be difficult to find. Also, they're yummy treats for all kinds of critters :) Happy gardening! 😊🙏🏻✨💚👩🏻🌾
I enjoyed watching your video and appreciated that you actually moved the camera to get better view of your pumpkin growing, i am growing some for the first time its so satisfying x thank you taking the time to do and upload this video.

I grew pumpkins, butternut squash and Luffas, for the first time this year. As some one who photographed their progress, I find this fascinating and I love the leaves opening and closing during the day and night cycle. Something I’d missed. 🙏🏻 🇬🇧
Our life on this planet is similar; brief. Before we know it, its over. This video is powerful and it tells us that how fragile we are in this cosmos, yet we are so big and important in ourselve. Thank you for such wonderful upload...
Think of it Small things goes fast Big things go slow Every day for this pumpkin is a year They are like humans they live And die by predation or age I love pumpkins Cause we give them life by growing them *WAIT* am I high?
