I am only half way through Solitude but just wanted to drop a note to say THANK YOU for making your book available on RU-vid. You are incredibly generous. I am hooked and cannot wait to read the rest of the series and your other books!
A message to other authors who may not know. RU-vid pays by listen time. Once sales have slowed, I imagine it to be a little more lucrative to follow in Mr. Cole's footsteps and upload your work here. You'll make more money, you'll reach a wider audience which will lead to higher sales for your new releases, and you're providing entertainment to those who may not be in a place financially to be spend on that sort of thing. This is like a win-winwinwin
Oh... AND... you cut off all of the pirates trying to bootleg your work. When your work pops in a rec feed or someone searches you, it will be YOUR channel that pops up. Not some dude in an eastern country with shady laws regarding intellectual property
At first I started listening to this to fall asleep at night…….eventually it had the opposite affect as I had to know what happened next. Well done, suspenseful writing……can’t wait to begin Multitude.
I remember hearing some hysterical people saying that the experiments at CERN could "end the world"!!! While I imagined something with the sound effect the LIDAR produced when it detected the two black holes merging, a blip sound rising up in tone over in a second, your version is far more engaging and entertaining! Well done! I can see I will be excessively preoccupied until I finish the trilogy! Just what I needed, thank you!👽♨
Just finished it while remodeling a bathroom floor in a Walmart at night. My guys looked at me like I am crazy, I was yelling no, damn, can these 2 get a break!! Lol loved it. This one was like standing on a cliff for 8 hours.
I don't care which book it is (not the telephone directory hahahah) when I see R C Bray as narrator....I'm all ears. Always EXCELLENT!! THANKS FOR THE UPLOAD
First time listening to Mr. Cole’s wonderful book. I love your characters and the storyline. Mr. Bray and Ms. Whelan did a great job making the words come alive. I will now be listening to Multitude. Thank you so much for uploading your books.
My first time listening to an audio tale. And what a tale! I caught the whole thing in one day... I just couldn't stop. Excellent casting too. Many thanks for sharing. 👍
I normally like audiobooks for falling asleep. So unfortunetly one with what some would call a fair amount of interruptions is typically a no go but this so good I listen to it over other non bedtime activities because This Story Is So Good
I loved this book. Angela and Vaughn can't seem to catch a break. When I listened to sector 64 I will admit they were my first sci-fi books. Couldn't have chosen better ones to start out with!
Phenomenal! I got so emotionally invested in the characters, and the anxiety of the story is top notch! Your aviation facts, the fact that the story visited my old stomping grounds in Colorado, loved everything about this! Thank you for writing this and for sharing it. God bless you and yours. Much love and respect.
Absolutely amazing. Apotheosis of the genre. Most important - excellent writing; the style like Hemingway, short clear direct sentences (or Gen. U. S. Grant - read his memoirs), The style supports suspense that never lets up but never seems forced or tedious. Great characters with affecting human emotions. The author's light touch of humor adds buoyancy to the narrative. And A+ narrators. For sheer enjoyment my favorite audiobook of all time..Looking forward to the following books.(And, by the way, Gertrude Stein wrote that Grant's writing exemplified the quintessential American prose style).
Thanks Dean, I really enjoyed this series. You and R. C (read the washing instructions on a t-shirt and make it sound gripping) Bray, make a great team. Have a great weekend.
This is excellent. More drama than plot change but vivid and well done. I wont use spoilers to explain. Narration is excellent and Bray is the best. Enough superlatives? Well I'm not a writer. This is the best i can do to salute you Dean Cole. I will search for your books at the store and i will never look at Funyuns the same way again.
@@DeanMCole Awesome, audiobooks replaced movies for me, btw there were alot of parallels between our history And society seemingly hidden in the first series, right down to the lizard people. Maybe I'm just reaching lol. Cheers
Great story! When they told the Astronauts to check out Europe, My first thought was “oh crap, bet they screwed something up at the collider” . I’ve always wondered why no one hadn’t written anything about an accident or something at the collider.
Loved the book. I love the characters. Thanks so much for sharing your books on RU-vid. I listened to your first book almost straight through. I can't wait to start the second book. It kind of reminds me of the show "Sliders". There is one episode where the whole earth is transported to a different dimension and so everyone has a double. If made me wonder if everyone and everything was just shifted to a different dimension and the main characters got left behind. Can't wait to see in which direction the plot develops.
Very captivating story. Thoroughly enjoyed listening. Can’t wait to hear what’s in store for the intrepid adventurers. I tip my hat to the author. Great start to the series!
2nd comment. This Is a good book, it made me think about the Hadron collider and all the "what if's" I done a bit of research and went on a tour of the facility (via Google earth) 😎 I'm glad I did, just to see the scale of the place. WOW massive.
I really enjoyed the book, I'm looking forward to the next one. Thank you for uploading them here for us to enjoy. I don't know if you get a say in who narrates your books or not, but R.C. Bray was an awesome choice either way.
Just a little note: there’s no 2400 zulu! At 1159/2359, the next minute brings 0000. If there’s a 2400, then what time would it be a second or minute later? 2401? Can’t be, as there’s only 24 hours and not a second more. LoL since the 24 hours start at midnight then zero hundred hours makes sense. Great book/story though! And anything with RC Bray is awesome! I love the way you have male and female readers, I really love that. Not sure how many books in this story line, at least 4? Will be getting the rest on audible. Thanks for posting
Thanks for the message and the kind words! I’m glad you enjoyed my book. Currently, there are five books in my Tude-iverse. I’m writing Infinitude, the sixth and final book, now. IRT 0000 vs 2400, you’re technically correct, but people don’t always speak in technically correct terms. As an Army attack helicopter pilot and an Airline Transport Pilot with 9000+ flight hours operating on zulu time, I and many of my fellow pilots usually refer to midnight as twenty-four-hundred, i.e.: I’m flying till twenty-four-hundred.” Zero-hundred just doesn’t have the same ring to it, although we do refer to it as 0000 sometimes, especially when looking back in time, for instance, “I’ve been flying since zero-hundred.” I think it’s because we want to make it sound later, earlier, or longer, depending on the point of reference. The human condition. 🤪
I love this series and I am on my second reading. The only thing can’t catch the meaning of is What is a gravity flower. I can’t leave out of course is the magical voice of Mr. R C Bray and beautiful voice of Julia Whelan.
Thank you, Jacalyn! I’m so happy to hear you’ve enjoyed my books. Angela uses gravity flower as a descriptor for the pattern of gravity waves that she observed over Europe. She also could’ve called it a starburst or even an asterisk.
I can't wait until book 2 comes out on RU-vid I wish I could afford buying but being on a fixed income now days I struggle to keep eggs and milk in the fridge my only escape these days are audiobooks I really can't walk very good anymore since I broke my back 20 years ago nothing but endless procedures and argument fighting to keep pain medicine socialized medicine really sucks bad
I must say one thing syfy audio books saved my life after being injured and not be able to enjoy fishing mushroom hunting and camping I was close to a permanent solution I give big credit to those who published on you tube BIG THANK YOU TO ALL AND ESPECIALLY THE AUTHOR'S GOD BLESS ONE OF MY FAVORITE BOOKS IN MOON WRECKED
@@russ3080 I thank you for the offer but I will wait cole seems like an author that will post it on RU-vid I have subscribed to his channel but thank you for the offer though
Good stuff, with a good cliff hanger at the end.....I am not sure how God and the host of heaven is going to mix in....but it has gotta considering the 2 dozen times this pair avoided certain death....

I enjoy these stories but sometimes. When you're doing a highly dangerous experiment, and the control comes on. And says shut it down, you don't discuss it. You shut it down now because the ones who want to discuss it don't live long enough to make it that far.

Loving your books so far, but is there any way to upload at a louder volume? Every time the ads pop up i worry about my speakers dying. It will definitely keep me from dozing off at the least
I haven't finished chapter one yet, but each time she says her name I hear it as a mix betwixt Tony Danza pronunciation of RuPaul's Changela [Edit] - Alright, I'm in chapter 2, and it's obvious who the two humans are going to be - the woman with extreme low self esteem (she's "NOT WOR-HER-THYyyyy") and the grouch who thinks that his fat guy isn't sexy. Two complainy-pants are going to be the last two humans ----- golly. Why doesn't this sound like fiction?!? [Edit] - Alright ... I'm over an hour in, and I think this should have been titled REVENGE OF THE VEGANS......... because all the sentient beings are gone, and any survivor would be forced to eat as vegetarian. HA! Oh, I hope I don't survive this scenario!!
I'm a serious carnivore, so I wouldn't do that to my characters. That's why this is series is a multiverse story with time travel and timeline resets (if they can unravel and reverse what's happening underneath Geneva, but that's a subject for books 2 and 3). As you've already noted, our characters have some developing and rescuing to do.
Good concept, engaging plot and exciting pace. The inner dialogues get a bit repetiive and Vaughan's constant cursing and self-flagellation are unpleasant to listen too. A good yarn with a bit too much unexplained technical lingo and lots of clever ideas.
But when you remember the beginning part of the story he was depressed and wasn’t seeing any thing positive! He needed a reason for living and it is easy to slip back into the negative like most people.
I’m wondering, is “explain it to me Barnet Style “ an author thing or narrator thing? Is it copy written? I know of it from another story line, I think. LoL
Oh, you’ll see several Ex Force Easter eggs in my Tude-iverse, but military personnel have used “explain it Barney style” since well before Craig Alanson put it in Expedition Force. However, Craig and I are good friends, and we share the same narrator, so we throw in those Easter eggs for our mutual readers. He’s even added a Funyuns one to a later Ex Force book. (That’ll make more sense once you’ve reached Solitude’s Funyuns scene.) twitter.com/deanmcole/status/1262453656080834560?s=46&t=1gM92h0HAlAKnpMMm0-ikQ
How many close shaves can happen? I feel like the obviously very clever protagonists keep making incredibly stupid decisions. It’s got to the point I want the protagonists to die so I can stop listening 🎉
Great book and series. You wrote Vaughn perfectly, This is the first book I have ever screamed at the main character and wanted to kill him myself. HA , now I think he is an awesome character. Can't wait for the next book.
