Willie Mullins all but sealed another piece of history as Danny Mullins guided Macdermott to a photo finish success in the Coral Scottish Grand National at Ayr, strengthening the trainers hold on top spot in the Trainers' Championship.
Should he be successful, Mullins would become the first Irish trainer to win the title since Vincent O'Brien in 1954 but the win wasn't straightforward.
After losing his leading contender Mr Incredible early in proceedings it was left to Nephew Danny Mullins aboard Macdermott to deny the charge of Surrey Quest at the Ayr showpiece.
