I have a Renault Clio Hatchback 2007 3 Door 1.2 TCE Dynamique 3d, my first car and have just got out on the road. I’m not sure if its just the feeling of being able to drive, or if the car genuinely is just so fun. I cant keep myself out of it and would definitely recommend.
I had one of these in silver 06 plate for my first car, it was mechanically sound only gripe I have with these is the re-ocurring air bag warning light problem which is a massive pain to fix was also the reason for selling it. Now have an 09 1.9 turbo diesel astra Sri sport which is a massive upgrade. This is a great first car tho can't argue with that.
What a bargain!.Mine is a 1.2 75CV 16V.This is my real first car too, 49000KM, it was from my mother.I do 110KM every day on it; its a very reliable car. Enjoy it!
Had this as my first car too! £900. Had 60k miles on and after 3 years it was only worth £250 to sell with just over 90k miles. £1400 worth of repairs during aswell. Really slow and not fun to drive I know have a 2017 Astra SRI which is absolutely amazing and fun to drive 👍🏼
The Peugeot 206 has the same ''problem'' with the cabin steaming up very quick .All though the engine dóes heat up very quick too so you should have clear visibility within less then a few minutes
I’ve one of these I got it for 500 pounds 57 plate 59’000 miles on it full service history 2 owners. An old guy owned it and my mate who works in the motor trade alerted me to the car as he was trading it in to buy a Ford Focus. It’s only the one litre 3door but it’s cracking in fuel and cheap to insure. Bad side it’s a noisy car inside the cabin there’s not much noise proof going on and will have to do the timing belt on it soon as these cars are prone for them snapping
I only passed my test in August 2018 and bought the clio 5dr 1.4 07 reg / silver hatchback. What can l say, if you looking for a bit more torque and power then a one size up engine is great to also handling can be difficult at first drive but if it continues despite after you tried every thing including seat adjustment and aligning you rack but it persists then make sure to have you steering alignment balance checked every once in three months by garage but am glad l ain't got a different car that is 2.0 otherwise my insurance may be a bit higher and cost of running it lol. It takes 95 - 98 supreme unleaded too which is most common with other cars, l didn't know this was possible at first after l bought it and until l read it a month in driving it as back then cars over 10 YEAR old mostly could only take normal unleaded so this must had been France first clio to takd it. This car actually is cool and wow that is another little bonus for Clio fans lol.
I have one of these in automatic 58 plate with 65,000 on the clock cost me £3000 18 months ago and is now worth £2300 because it’s automatic version and also has paddle shift on the steering wheel
Posh Boxter yeah right, they are not even practical. There are a a lot better hatchbacks out there than the Clio but are probably all rather expensive to insure as a first car in comparison.
I have a clio tce 2008 1.2 100hp. I spend 20 pound and get maybe like 100 miles out of it. What is going wrong here? Like I recently drove 160 miles and back totalling 320 miles. It cost me about 55 quid in fuel. To get 210 miles out of 20 quid of petrol is insane and something I need.
@Marco R I've upgraded to a diesel now and I get alot more. Just a shame the Clio wasnt too fuel efficient. It was good to drive regardless. It costs me about 40 quid For 400 miles now which is great
I have this car same colour too 56 plate 80,000 £1000 One owner from new. After three days of having it I realise a whisking noise while driving :( it drives okay and everything but do I have a big problem here?
@@lewisorange1 I happen to have an aux connected, and I also hear something, although it's not coming from the tire at all, it sounds like it's coming from the door... Is it the aux cable?
+JCFoster97 it would be a great first car. Cheap to run and you can get a couple of years no claims under your belt! Did you have a car in mind you were looking for?
It's really reliable, the car itself has really good engines (except the 1.2 petrol engine, which is sluggish), and the build quality is much better than average with durable car parts. It fact, it's actually more reliable than the Peugeot 207.
Good review, i own an extreme spec 1.2 non turbo petrol model which is the entry level model which i bought used for just £650 and for that price it has been excellent value for money and has been a very good 1st car overall in the 3 years ive owned it, ive filmed 2 videos of it on my channel feel free to check them out, thanks!
