A fantastic tutorial! I have just recently converted an iCade and was trying to get my pi 2B working with it, but it was doing all kinds of weird things, especially around not saving the control setups, had me pulling my hair out so I figured a fresh install would be best. I followed your directions and it was fast and easy, and all of the problems with pi not liking my arcade stick in the iCade are gone. Thanks again for a nice up to date step by step tutorial!
speaking of retro games, I still remember being blown away by Atic Atac - the smoothness and speed of the game. Even the colour clashes were great! Absolutely incredible what was done with just 48K.
Everyone knows how to copy other people's content trying to make money on you tube. Thank you so much for explaining in detail!! All them other guys with their crappy videos obviously missed yours or they all would of copied it instead of the minute crap videos they all uploaded
Great video. Really helpful thank you. I found a simpler way of accessing the pi on the pc. Just go to start and run then type \ etropie which opens the pi in explorer. Can just drag and drop stuff from there
@@BytesNBits I have weird issue where the bottom half of the screen will flicker while I am moving fast in super Mario bros on nes .... and also super Mario sometimes completely disappears. any ideas?
Not with RetroPie. That's just for a Raspberry Pi setup. Have a look at my Batocera video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-28NI_I6ICx0.html or RetroBat ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JAdsGIiv6Fk.html
great video subbed and liked, only had one issue and that was with windows, I couldnt map the network drive windows couldn't access it, however I found a work around by typing my ip address into the address bar in file explorer then right clicking on the roms folder and manually mapping the folder, hope it helps for anyone having issue with windows >_
@@albinorhino8542 Hi. That's really strange. In Raspi-config run the update to latest version option and then try again. The country code should be the first thing it asks you when you try to set up the wireless connection.
so i used a usb that i thought was 10g was only .5g. The file transfer is taking forever. Can i just reformat a new usb drive and do the same type of transfer?
Help please I don't have a gaming controller only keyboard so after that controller configuration page it's not proceeding but just going back to command line
Instead of holding down buttons on the controller just hold down keys on the keyboard. It will then allow you to map keys on the keyboard as the buttons on the controller. Hope this helps.
Please help. 2nd game controller was setup but does not work when in 2 player mode. When 2 player is up, the controller that will only work is the 1st controller.
If you're playing MAME arcade games you need to set up the controller mapping in MAME as well. Press your TAB key and you'll get to the menu. Then set up the player 2 controls and map them to your controller.
You're right that in some cases input lag can be a problem. The Retropie docs give a few ways to combat this. Have a look at retropie.org.uk/docs/Input-Lag/.
@@BytesNBits I do have another question. I downloaded the Atari pack like u showed. Several games don’t work. When it downloaded there were 2 files. I unzipped the file and added them ssh to pi. Do I have to also put emuparadise.download.user file in Atari folder also. Is this the reason some don’t work?
@@brianm4760 Hi. The all in one packs are great for getting all the games onto your system but a few files use the wrong versions of games. The easiest way is to download individual replacements for the ones that don't work.
