Welcome to another episode of DiyCarModz. I’m Jeff and in this video I will be demonstrating how to swap out your stock halogen bulb to an led bulb from JDMastar.

Great lights ! BTW most of the lights don't need to be adjusted as the only go in one way just like your own . Though the adjustment is a nice feature . Great video !!

If I ever were to swap out my headlights to LED then i would use the JDMastar one. Only because I can adjust the beam pattern. I do have a few more led headlights I'm going to be testing this month but so far I like this one.

Just a quick and perhaps dumb question (I'm not super knowledgeable about head light bulbs), but once you install these, will it allow you to do high beam as well?

Yes, You have Lens headlights in Your Accord, so even a bulb with a unequally Lighting can give a good result. The most cars do not have a lens, so the results may vary a lot.

hey jeff i check out two led bulbs models in jdm astar website jdm astar G4 9006 AEC LED chip or 8TH Gen. 9006 zes led chip which is best one ? I am using honda civic sedan it same as 2007 Acura csx. I am using stock halogen bulb. the headlight assembly it new one. the blub size for low beam hb4 51w high beam hb3 60w some time the head light bulb go off I change it pair. the light visibility not good in my car. I like to upgrade to led bulbs

I have installed led on my accord 2012 but the cut out is not like that .. yours is very nice.. Most of the drivers ahead of me complains about my light very scattered and high ... How should i keep the LEDs horizontal or vertical

I thinks its the same, maybe it seems slightly brighter because you can adjust the beam pattern with these led bulb. If I had to choose between the Auxbeam F16 and these.. I would choose these.

Stock feature on Accord with Dual IMID screen ( exl) Only works on right turn signal or pressing the button on the headlight switch stalk.

I always reinstall my hid kit after each review. I've tested many led kits and hid is much better in light output, sharpness and has greater distance. The main reason I read on the comments about the reason why people choose LED over HID is the installation. They say LED is easier to install. With that in mind, if I had to recommend a simple and easy to install led kit, then I would suggest the Lasfit amzn.to/2fsNiWh. It doesn't have a extra external led driver so installation will be very simple. Now, I do have more led headlight kits lined up that I will be testing soon, these do have the extra external led drivers though. Now, if you're purchasing a led kit with an external driver.. why not install HID???

What rewiring do you have to do with HID kit? Installing HID kit is exactly the same as installing LED kit. Especially LED kits with external driver box. Hid has 2 bulb and 2 ballast box. LED kit comes with 2 bulb and 2 driver box. Both connect the exact same way. You connect the bulb to the box and connect it to the factory wiring harness. If the lights don't turn on then you flip the connector. Exactly the same process for both. However, I understand that it can get tricky.. so that is WHY i recommend Lasfit. It has no box.

I Installed 2 different types of LED bulb into my 2014 Accord..one of them ended up with damaging the led, and the 2nd one the led started to flicker. Are the led long lasting? like for more than a year

Link the products you purchased. Majority of the led bulbs does come with Warranty. However, do not assume that just because these are "LED" that it will last a very long time.

UmarDawood That is the problem with LED bulbs. Especially since these bulbs are over driven at a very high wattage to produce the light output. Heat kills the led component. That is why they install fans or some sort of large heat sink to try and dissipate the heat. If the led bulb is able to keep cool then it won't be in issue but that is not the case with these led headlight bulbs.

Hmm I don't remember. It probably comes with either zip ties or small double sided tape.

Hey Jeff, I just installed these on my 13 Accord coupe. When I switch the headlight stalk to auto... the lights no longer come on. I have to place the stalk on the "on" position now. Did you experience the same issue? Thanks!

For projector headlight it should be side to side. You do not need to mess with the setting straight out of the box. It should be side to side by default.

You just get a scattered light that often times blind drivers harsher than projector headlights, it looks better in projector housing.. check out "protuning lab" they sell after market projector headlights

When you adjusted the beam pattern, did you note the position for the best output? It should be the same for every application, at least for the 9th gen coupes.

I did not. However, it might not be all the same unless you are using the exact same led bulb with the same led chip. Different led chip different light pattern. Reason is the light is reflecting off different part of the reflector bowl inside. I'm sure an led bulb that has 4 led vs 8 led will have a different light output even at the same angle. All the other ones I've tested.. you are not able to rotate the led bulb orientation.

I'm only referring to your review of this LED headlight, the JDMastar, because of it's adjustable beam pattern. You and I both have 9th gen coupes, so the beam pattern that you adjusted to as the best beam output during your review should be the same result for my vehicle. Right?

Robert Myers In that case, Yes it will be the same as long as the bulb was installed exactly the same as I have installed it. Reason why I mention EXACTLY is that the bulb can be inserted into the housing in a variety of angle. Also there are no marking on the bulb housing and you can not visibly see the bulb orientation inside the projectors. Best and the easiest thing to do would be to park your car, turn on the lights and adjust to your liking.

If you are looking for the best possible light output, I would suggest going the traditional HID install instead of LED. HID>LED>=stock

I had some of them and i was really disappointed because they made a huge black blind spot in the middle of my driving path... Really bad design. Probably only not works for me

I prefer HID over LED but the choice is yours to make. I have plenty of product reviews in my channel on different LED and HID setup that you can compare them. From my personal experience I still prefer HID over LED. But who knows, I have a few more sets of led headlights bulb that I'll be testing this month. Perhaps one of those will be better than my current HID setup. So far HID>LED>Stock Halogen bulb.

correct.. many of the led bulbs are about the same brightness as the stock halogen bulb. Just the color is white. If you want something that is brighter than stock look at this one: The "brightest" one was this one that I've reviewed: ru-vid.com?o=U&video_id=Go098eaBn6c Only drawback of that led is the fan noise. If you listen to your music above lvl 10 then it shouldn't bother you too much. It makes a whirling humming sound inside the cabin but the light output, width, distance is the best so far.
