Good review, i have both batteries Enyoybot and Chins and to my understanding Chins is made by Enyoybot, lots of similar characteristics. Great review. I would like to add it to the one that i have to expand to a 200 amp capacity DIY sistem i want to build for my mother in law since there are too many problems with the grid in Puerto Rico. Really don't care about low temperature cutoff we live in the Caribbean.
I would use this battery for my off grid hunting cabin and hook it up to my solar panels would be really nice addition thanks so much for the review on this battery
Excellent job ! I live that you opened it up and tested Everything ! It’s obvious that the same Chinese company is making 3-4 brands! All at different prices! But this is still a good deal, I would just put a JBD BMS on it with low temp control and bluetooth, for 65.00 ! Actually you can get these fir 308.00 and another 5% off for using Amazon store card .
I could use this for my mobile home we do not have electricity throughout it yet! Unfortunately winter has come and my wiring has stopped. The front half of my home has no electricity yet and of course that’s where my daughters bedroom is. I have solar panels connected to 18 650 cells so that her bedroom has power for her computer I would use this 100 amp hours to make sure she was set up properly. Unfortunately I am stuck until winter is over before I could finish wiring.
I need 4 similar batteries for use in my camper; as I have had to retire due to a motor vehicle accident in 2019. I appreciate your honest and technical review. Thank you sir
I know it’s not at 10k views but I’ll pay for shipping tomorrow! I’m making a switch with my solar system from AGM to lithium iron phosphate batteries but haven’t bought one yet. This would be a great opportunity to try one out and see the performance before I go all in. I greatly appreciate the content you provide all of us as well as your consideration. Keep up the excellent work 👍
Great video and review, good job pointing out lack of Low Temp Disconnect. I'd love to use this batter without the case would fit great in small battery compartment that was designed for 50Ah battery.
At $329 I would use this battery as a second battery in our camper. Before leaving Minnesota, I would take this warm battery out to our camper in -0 F, place in front of furnace, disconnect our main batteries, and start the furnace before we leave for Arizona. The furnace would not allow the battery to freeze, but I could warm the other batteries. Once the other batteries are warm I would disconnect this battery and connect the others. I would then take this battery along as a backup. We always warm our camper up a day before leaving. The furnace is always running when traveling south in the winter.
Thanks for the review. I would use this battery to run a 12 volt fridge so I could keep my injectable medications cold during power outages. It would really be helpful.
Great review and best of luck to the winner 👍. I’d love to begin my solar energy journey with this battery however I’m sure shipping would be prohibitive to ireland
Nice video.. I think I could use this battery on a hog pen that can trap wild hogs. The trap has a setup for a cell camera and remote control to close the gate from a cell phone app. Everything is powered via a 12v connection. Wild hogs destroy our land and run off the deer population.
Maybe I misunderstood but didn’t you say in the beginning spec sheet, that this battery had self heating when cold, not cold cutoff? When you tested the charge current, you looked for charge disconnect but a self heating battery will keep battery from getting cold. You would measure the actual current going into the cells vs the current from your charge source to see if any current is used heating the battery to keep it from getting cold. However, I didn’t see a heater is your disassembly.
I would use it to power my gaming setup in my truck. I'm currently using a very small diy lithium-ion 4s9p 200wh battery I made from used laptop batteries and it only extends my game time by like 1-2 hr. This battery would absolutely be a massive upgrade.
It would be interesting to see how quickly the BMS will balance cells, and at what pack voltage it will start to do this. How about drawing down an individual cell, then measure the balance current to it, and the the drain current from the higher voltage cells, to get some idea about how well and quickly it balances. Just one thought.
I have three of these in parallel on my boat, and am trying to get a handle on how often and for how long I should take them above 14V to allow good balancing.
I am thinking of making my cold storage room and use this kind of batteries. I need this cold storage work only trough March to November. Winter time I might use it at home.
Sorry my phone died but I would like to ask if you had a battery that you not using I could use it. My 100ah chins battery is just not Big enough and I can't afford to buy 1 Right now I'm a van life guy live in my van in Las Cruces NM thanks
I would use the battery to power my Yaesu FT-991a ham radio off-grid, and I am in California. FT8 digital mode, can communicate world-wide on that battery. Cheers!
Hey I live in my dodge grand caravan and I have a chins battery but I need one more battery for a good capacity for everything I run in my van frige ,ice maker, microwave air conditioner 8,000 BTU. I run my ac and heat off of a generator but I am out of work and I would love to win this battery for Christmas it would help me out a great deal. Because my transmission is out and I have to get money for remanufactured transmission so if I could win it would be a blessing.
