Kung Fu Panda 4 is not as strong in its story, as it follows a familiar and predictable formula. The movie's message of peace and embracing change is a noble and relevant one, but it is not explored in a deep or original way.
A noticeable absence in Kung Fu Panda 4 is the Furious Five, Po's loyal friends and fellow warriors, who have been a core part of the franchise's charm and appeal. The movie loses some of the fun and chemistry that the previous movies had with the ensemble cast, as Po is mostly accompanied by Zhen and his two fathers.
