Hi Carlos, How good is the ‘Whetherproof’ of this horn coax? When driving in the rain, on my Road Glide 2020, will these speakers last, or will they get damaged by the rain, possibly dripping into the horn tweeter? Thanks for your time. Great video’s! The one on the left has a separate tweeter so it’s 2 speakers vs 1 speaker . Of course the one on the left sounds better . I tested them side by side so you can hear the difference. A coax speaker will never beat a component set . The component set is $1000 and you will need to cut and find a spot for the tweeter
I bought these speakers thinking it was a drop in fit in rear pods it doesn’t fit so I thought maybe lower pods it still didn’t fit any suggestion would be appreciated
Carlos, do you recommend the ground zero red baskets or the diamond audio mp654? I want the one the sounds the best because I’m looking to only put two on my bike in pods, because I lack space on my bike.
In your opinion who makes the best sounding loudest mid and highs I ordered 4 ground zero red basket 6.5 gzcm6 , 2 gz high output red tweeter, 2 gz 8”coax and 2 gz 8” x 5.9” tweeter horn using the sound digital 1200.4, 800.4, 400.4 I was wondering if the 6.5 can handle the 1200.4
Carlos, do any of these audio companies ask you for ur design opinion whn their designing these speakers & DSP's etc? Wouldn't it make sense for them to ask the people that are doing these installs wht their opinion are?
It depends . Yellow baskets will play lower frequencies but not as loud and be cheaper but will require more modification to install. New red basket with horn will be louder but want play as low, more expensive but minimal modification to install.
where can i get these ? 2019 Streetglide , i did an upgrade with T series fosgate 5 ch 1000 wat 4/6x9 in lids & 6.5 in fairing pod but not much low end will these sound better in fairing?
Hey Carlos, I have a 2021 Road Glide Limited. I also have the Soundstream Reserve. I was going to get the Hertz speakers but, after watching this video I am going to get these. On a 6 speaker system (fairing, lowers and tour pack), would you recommend this speaker for the fairing and tour pack and a different Red Basket speaker for the lowers. Side note: the lowers are of course aftermarket from Hogworkz if that helps with speaker size, depth size and placement. I’m also thinking about having my lids modified for 6 X 9’s. I will be in your are on July 22nd and would love to schedule my bike to be done if time permits. Thanks for any information you can give.
Carlos, I live in Charlotte North Carolina, I own a 2019 street glide, brought it brand new. Who in my area you know can recommend me to install a combination package for me since I can't make it to your place of business ... and what drop and fit combination. No I just bought them they won’t fit I ordered lower adapter waiting patiently to see if it’s gonna fit in lowers it didn’t fit in the rear tour pack pods
I have a 16roadglide with 4 biketronics bt477 6.5s (100w rms 200w peak) bt line levels and a bt4180. I want to upgrade the faring speakers for louder/cleaner sound on the road. Is there anything budget friendly you could recommend?
@@NVSAUDIO Carlos, based on your suggestion i had purchased the DB drive WDX6MOTO-CD for the upper fairing of my 2012 RG. I haven’t installed them yet but how’s the bass on the db drives compared with these and the yellow baskets?
So you build bikes with screaming mids and tweets playing into the open air. That has to be one of the most inconsiderate, obnoxious products in the out there. Just zero F’s given about everybody else in a 4 block radius. I guess it’s just your world and we’re all just living in it.
