Kind of disappointed how much this just gives me Toy Story Midway Mania vibes, rather than being a truly new thing. At least it looks better than the Ant Man ride at Hong Kong.

is every new land Disney's building gonna open with a single ride that's just an arcade game where you stare at the screen for 3 minutes while they stall time to build a main attraction months later down the line

Well, as much as I love Disney this doesn't feel or look like a Disney product except for the design of the ride vehicles. I was dreaming of a swing vehicle.

This looks like a nice companion ride to guardians and the future avengers ride. That being said they better build that avengers ride because this land seems like it need it.

Is there a reason why, as the ride goes along, that the Cg starts looking more and more like a Toy Story movie? Even Spidey looks way too cartoony here.

This Spider-Man ride definitely seems like it was designed by Disney Consumer Products. The toy spider robots really remind me of the little robots in the CGI animated Scooby Doo "Scoob!" movie. Glad we won't see this in Florida.

all i can say is wow that is short and the off ride theming (inside and outside in the line) was basically just old brick building (if you can call that a theme)

This is a piss poor Toy Story Mania ( a ride that I love) with a pre show which lasts forever. Sorry, but it sucks.

Cool, but I rode something similar to this at Knott's Berry Farm the other day. I wish Disney had given the Star Wars land treatment to Avengers instead of Star Wars.

A Spider-Man ride with no Spider-Man Villains? Why couldn't Doc Ock or someone be controlling these stupid robots? What a waste. Think of all the cool ride sequences they could have done if Mysterio was the bad guy? It also looks like anyone with an arm disability isn't going to have a good time on this attraction.

Yeah, was hoping for something new and different. Looks fun, but its just Buzz Light Year/Toy Story mania again…Design is super cool tho.

And 22 years later, Universal still holds the crown for the best Spiderman attraction. Twenty. Two. Years. I'm so bummed out...

Spider-Man: Toy Story Mania Spider-Man: Product Placement the Ride

So it’s basically another Toy Story Mania and Buzz Lightyear ride. How original!

Thanks for the update! Not too impressed with the ride itself, but having this as an HDR video is cool! It felt like this video was popping out of my screen, especially compared to the RU-vid menus around it.

While I am not a fan of sitting in a moving box and moving screen to screen to shoot at things (looking at you Toy Story Mid-Way Mania), this ride at least looks really well themed in the places in between the screens, and takes you on a "tour" of the Avenger's Campus. The video portions are really well made, and it seems there is at least a haptic feedback with the webslinger. I would actually wait in line to ride this one, and I am sure it looks better in person (which again shows how well the video portions are done because they look good here captured on camera). My biggest issue with TSMM (and I know I am going to upset a lot of people now) is that it is so lacking once you're inside. The theming is great outside and inside the queue, but once inside, there's nothing but the screens. If there were animatronics inside, or more things to see, I'd get why people love this ride so much/why it garners the absurd wait times. But honestly every time I've been forced to go on TSMM I feel so underwhelmed and the ride has always felt like cheap copout with the screens. Especially when you compare TSMM to an older ride like Buzz Lightyear AstroBlasters/Space Ranger Spin, while BL's is simpler shooting gallery tech, the show scenes have so much personality and energy and things to look at, TSMM is so boring in comparison. Spider-Man looks like it's a good compromise in terms of immersion and shooting gallery. Again, I really wish Disney would stop pulling a Universal in having screens and video game mechanics (something I can do at home or on my phone) for all the new rides, and go back to innovative rides. But I get that Spider-Man is the most family-friendly of the Avengers, and a shooting gallery type game is something fun for all ages, as many guests can't ride Guardians and the Quinjet ride isn't available right now.

What's next? Will I have to buy a special Buzz Lightyear laser for the Toy Story ride to be best in vehicle?

Now that I seen the video all I can say is that the Spider-Man ride at Universal Orlando looks better because it used a new ride concept when it opened but not like this WEB attraction with uses the same ride concept as Toy Story Mania which the only difference being that this uses your hands as a web shooter. I hope Disneyland opens the big Avengers attraction soon because it looks like it needs it badly

Looks surprisingly good for a C-ticket ride. Anyone who has been paying just a little attention, knew that this would not be an E-ticket ride. Nice combination of props and animation. Many details everywhere. Much , much better than the Legoland-Ninja-ride, that uses the same ride system.

Thanks, now I know not to wait more than 10 minutes in line for this ride. I just seems like a vehicle to get sad people to buy useless crap and toys. It’s all about making more money.

SO I'm about to watch it and apparently there's a swinging spiderman in it and you may even swing with him! Very excited yet aware that this has a LOT to live up to in comparison to the 23 year old attraction at Universal!!!!

So is the ride that was supposed to compete with Universals beloved Spider-Man attraction? Granted I haven’t been following all the Avengers Campus updates& plans, but this pales in comparison.

Not bad for phase one…. I honestly don’t think this is a better ride system than they installed for Knotts Berry Tales with Marvel IP. Guardians of the Galaxy ride is more fun/clever use of a pre-existing ride system. They need to quicken phase 2 and that Quinjet ride. You right coasters are a bit too harsh for not being able to get any of this in WDW. It is not your park.

I like what the ride is like and understand the direction it's going. But I think they should make the gaming scenes a little loner to about 1-2 minutes. It felt like each section was about 30 seconds. And they should also add more scenes to the screens. My feeling is this is a test result to see how far WEB SLINGERS would go. If they add villains like the Sinister Six like Doc Ock, Vulture, Mysterio, etc, and other WEB Warriors like Miles Morales (Kid-Arachnid), Gwen Stacy (Ghost-Spider), Anya Corazon (Spider-Girl), etc, then it would be a different story and a longer attraction. Do you feel me? (Venom pun) Plus it would be cool if they travel through the Spider-Verse in the future. But that's me. What do you guys think?

So Spider-Man meets Toy Story Mania? As someone that loves the shooting games, I’m okay with it! :) I knew it wasn’t going to be a ROTR type ride and I hope the future Avengers ride (if it happens), will be like that!!

Don’t forget this is supposed to be a c ticket ride for kids. The quinjet ride will be the REAL e ticket ride of the land

This ride looks soooooo bad!!! It's not even close to being as good as Spider-Man at Universal. It's just Toy Story Mania.....I was expecting to have Disney do something revolutionary for their Avenger attractions. The imagineers at Disney are just not the same as they once were!

I'm really hating the negative comments. Mainly of yall are comparing it to Universal or mid way mania, first off all Disney announced how this ride was gonna be a shooting game like midway or buzz lightyear in the beginning from D23. Also the studio they are housing this attraction was a movie theater, they would have to demolished the old bugs life theater and rebuild from scratch which could take 2years to finish and alot of money! Also the reason it does NOT have the thrill ride like Indiana jones or transformers or IOA is because disney doesn't want to make a similar ride that can get Universals attention and potentially putting a law suit. You guys should be great ful that we have a spider-man ride out the west side, I know SM is a new Yorker but it could of been something eles. I enjoyed the ride. I think their both equally great DCA and IOA
