Here's an attempt at a backwards visual. This is the 158 that runs from Leicester St. Margaret's Bus Station to Nuneaton Bus Station via Highcross, West Bridge, Western Park, Braunstone Crossroads, Leicester Forest East, Desford Crossroads, Leicester Forest West, Earl Shilton, Barwell, Hinckley, Watling Street, The Longshoot and Nuneaton Railway Station.
In terms of lack of focus, this was expected to be bad as the camera was above the engine, however, with this one, it was only really bad whenever it braked and on the A47 when the driver was thrashing the hell out of the bus. You can decide if this one was worse than the 49 one or not.
The 158 is run by Arriva at Thurmaston as their Sapphire service using ex-Liverpool VDL SB200 Wrightbus Pulsars, and when the visuals were being recorded, the only Sapphire in Leicester they still made an effort with due to the mess at Wigston that I mentioned in my 31 visual. The frequency is every 20 minutes.
The service used to compete with a double-decker service, the 157 by Stagecoach, but that was withdrawn way back in 2006, and was replaced by an alternate 48 journey, which is now Gold using E200 MMCs, which I admit I heavily prefer on this corridor.
Service 158 now departs from the Haymarket Bus Station due to the opening of the new Savoy Street. It uses the former 31 stand as Oadby have just been using evening service 31E since the lockdown started.
