In all the choirs I was in as a student, The Chichester Psalms was the most exciting piece I ever sang. So very unlike any religious music I’d ever heard before. It was FUN to perform this piece with a good choir; it’s so dynamic.

(pp en sib mineur) Probablement inconsciente mais facilement explicable de la part d'un chef qui la dirigea certainement très souvent. Du reste il ne s'agit nullement d'un plagiat mais du réemploi d'une courte séquence musicale dans un contexte tout à fait différent. Réminiscence "creatrice" , en quelque sorte.

@andewmole I really enjoyed this post. I would like to email you about the second section. I’m familiar with Psalms 1-4 or Tehillim, as they are called in Hebrew. I would like to more closely study translation in English of lyrics. I have played violin in this work.
