on this type of journey, mt 07 is very fun and manages to supply, in the hands of a good driver, I have one, but I admit that I might be able to explore some 60 to 70 percent of the potential of this little big machine, .. just have good tires and well-regulated suspensions and of course the brakes at 100 percent, .. and this machine manages to offer a fun ride with a certain sportiness, .. it is a bike that deserves its popularity all over the world, .. as it pleases all ages, man or woman, pilot or beginner, .. a toy for big boys!
Its a little soft but with wilbers springs and harder oil in the front its and a new shock for the back its a beast on track but still offers a comfortable riding position
The guy on the R6 seems more concerned about his body position and to put his knee down, nearly crashed on few occasions, let it happen naturally dude 🙄 As for the MT07 If you use the 3rd gear more often than the 4th you can surely overtake or at least keep up with the R6 👌
So in other words, the stock suspension is more than adequate! You can see the bike wobbles a bit in your very long and 80mph sweeping turns. But I mean... how often are people doing that. Not me lol And up to 80mph the MT07 stays right with R6... super cool
Stock suspension definitely isn't THAT bad. Its bad but I didn't really notice how bad until I was on the track with it. I did the Dave Moss front suspension and never got around to getting a rear shock for it but just doing heavier oil in the front and cutting the spacers down made enough of a difference on the track. My FZ/MT09 has Andreani front fork cartridges and a rear shock on the way. Stoked to get that bike back on the track. The front suspension was very noticeable last track day before I got the forks done
I have an MT-07 2015, and i love the torque that she has at low rpms.... For these types of roads is a good election... Easy to drive, the perfect power, agility, good brakes... The only thing that for me is shit are his suspensions... They cant be regulated and they are too soft. If you hit a bump in a turn, the front shock absorber is moving up and down for several seconds until it resets. A little dangerous no?? hahahahah
from the first few seconds 0:20 that you on the mt 07 are a much better rider then the persan on the r6 they where trying to hang of and stuff but making cornering wurse by doing so you can see you holding back in the corners and the r6 has way better suspension then the mt 07 and better breakes and better angle of the front forks for high speed cornering
I totally agree, look at how he's using the legs on the bike... Almost zero contact on the tank with the other leg and he could also improve his riding position
mt07 is very good for tight twisties, but the front suspension is wack... at the 150-170k km/h turns its just cant manage... and its just an advice but dont use it at high rpms... around 5-6k is the best but above 6 its just pointless abuse, the bike wont do better (no torque left in it at that high). and this is i think its choked down to a2 category because in the 4th gear at 7k rpm will go above 140km/h
