On this episode of "Cannon's Class", Nick Cannon sits down with Dame Dash and discusses R. Kelly, his past & present relationship with Jay Z, how to be a boss, and much more! Filmed & Edited by Jordan Crafton ( @iamjdcrafton )
The more I grow older is the more I get Dame Dash's point of view. The funny think is that most dudes have copied Dame's independence philosophy but won't give him his props.
like dj envy who invests in real estate now, angela yee who started angela's lip service, and charlamagne who started wriring books. this was all after dame cussed them out for loving to be slaves and not using their name to start their own shit. they never said he influenced them
People who dont give him his props still dont understand the mindset. You're one of the haters like he said. I been seen everyone around me who still were and still are stuck in a loophole a cycle its all about breaking the cycle of comfort in ur life man. No excuses been dirt broke and i been middle class everyone has a cycle they need to break to reach their potential
This is $1,000,000 worth of knowledge for free on RU-vid man it don’t get better than this. As a 19 year old black man from the hood everyday all I watch is interview to get gems and secrets of the world that I didn’t learn in school and I’m still in college but jus gettin to know shit like this is priceless
Tyree Tucker master P yes but dame loves hearing him self. He is a hypocrite and a coward preacher. Check how he answered about Aliyah, he is not consistent.
Nick outsmarted Dame. Dame asked Nick why would you work with a man sleeping with a teen. Then Nick brought up unaware to Dame that Dame was conscious of jay z sleeping with a teen(foxy). Dame took it as a jab to Jigga but it went over his head that he was made to look very hypocritical. Don't throw rocks in a glass house.😂😂😂 Nick u cold, that was smooth.
Yup! And Dame kept fkn with Jay knowing that rumor was out there and expected ppl to stop fkn with Kell because of rumors. Difference was Foxy was never Dames girl and he didn't want that smoke with Jay at that time.
What interview were you watching. Nick acted scared to even ask the question. Damon made him to even come out with it while he was acting all scared to ask and finding every bush to beat around. 🙄🙄🙄
Facts. Nick is A boss and has been so underrated in his knowledge and dealings. He's super smart and not A punk bone in his body. More convo like these need to happen... folks not bs'ing around and still leave respecting one another.
Same I'm 38, and and for some reason I always thought he was cocky. I didn't really know him, but now seeing his interviews I feel like we have similar outlooks on life.
College is most def a business. I majored in business and 50% of the classes I took were irrelevant as hell. They teach you how to work for a company, not own one. It’s better to gain experience by doing. Start where you are. Surround yourself with like minded people and have mentors.
All this shit they are talking about has a major in every college. Smh all the "bosses" they speak of have college education or gemerational wealth. We have to stop talking about "business" as if it doesnt take high level of intelligence, experience and education to grow a SUCCESSFUL business.
Aaron Voorhees there’s numerous entrepreneurs that do not have college education, or they dropped out. Some have generational wealth and some started from the ground up in poverty.
CapitalCityLive same. Regardless of how much he is worth is in the top 1 percent. More than most people commenting. He’s a wise man. I admire him AND Jay. No need to choose. 🤷🏽♀️
I love every single Dame Dash Interview I’ve ever seen but this one with Cannon is by far the best I’ve seen. Salute to both of these solid individuals.
@@Love02Love01 that's right, notice that's the mentality black men have fed black women and that's what killed many sisters lives, but these black men lives in high places didn't reflect that, while they was succeeding in white places/spaces.
Shout out to Nick for asking the hard questions. Dame never answers anybody and usually argues them down. Nick actually got answers and details. Impressive
We already had that. Wakanda, B.E.T , Hip hop, rap music all these are all black ppl products. Black ppl need to come together as a whole. Support African immigrants. Start traveling to Africa. That’s what we need. ✊🏾
Salmon Wrangler but it’ sells a black product. HIP HOP, RAP , R&B. That’s our music. B.E.T don’t play rock music or country music. It’s a BLACK PRODUCT.
Dame Dash- is old school. He believes in real men. The type that endure and take the bull by the horns. The kind of man that don't flinch. A man who could take the hits. And be successful just for being himself. I agree with his description of a man.
Timothy Snipes finally..... cant stand when ppl throw their balls out the window when it comes to a real convo... he’s just a person, if you feel like there’s some truth that needs to be said and/or asked SPEAK UP!
Dame was still on that filibuster shit....but at least Nick still got his jabs in and kept Dame on task for the most part. Most interviewers just let Dame lead the entire convo talking about everything but the question that was asked. "let me ask you a question...." ...whenever you hear him say that, he trying to redirect the convo and exhaust the interviewer into submission.
liveguy yeah, Dame is slick with that “let me ask you a question” shit....lol....other cats can’t handle that shit and let him bully the convo....nick did pretty good.
I wish I heard you before I got my BS and MS degrees because all that was guaranteed is my $182000.00 in student loans. I thank God for my career but I did not need the MS degree nor the student loan debt to get to where I am. However I am going for more, in my own businesses and I am listening to every single Dame Dash interview I can.
Great interview. Dame is an intense person not everyone can handle his energy. He’s a radical yet interesting person. once u sort out the bullshit, there’s some real gems in his words.
Here for The comments yeah he smart but arrogant at times at least more so in the past. However I listen to him when he speaks, because regardless of how things transpired he’s been places, and seen things and has wisdom most of us could learn from. The main thing I’ve taken from same over the past year is invest in yourself.
Yall hella fir thinking dame was tryna bully nick. They having a real discussion between friends both talking no aggression just a harlem accent relax real hiphop real niggas nick and dame
Nick WAS talking too much at times but I love the fact that they can have banter and discourse but with a mutual respect for one another! Great INTERVIEW!
NuNu Poche don’t get me wrong I feel you on that. I read all the time. I just don’t take everything I read OR see as facts. If something interests me enough I do my own research instead of taking 1 source as a fact over another.
Dame is telling the truth. Most black people are going to hate on each other. Can someone tell me why don't we see this happening to rock & roll music artists or country singers?
I like when Dame speak he's very empowering with his "US" speak. Nick showed that he can interview someone who can be intimidating and overpowering in a conversation. Well done
Nick has behaved questionably on several occasions but the confidence, assertiveness, bluntness with which he addresses and questions Dame is admirable. He be soft and reserved quite often but showed up to and for Dame. Realness, authenticity, moral consistency, and self analysis are the qualities that obligate the person with whom Dame engages in dialogue, to remain transparent and concise.
balle733 why you worried about another man pockets. Sound GAY. I can bet my life u don't have $2000 in your pocket now. Long story short you don't have 1% of $2,000,000. Pay attention to you not another man.
I love how he answered this and set that line like yo I Got a daughter, he’d be dead. Facts bc Hollywood is slow and cunningly tryna fit that narrative in.. which is disgusting 🤮
Starting at 40:00 it got really real for me. Look toward your future...Forget how it starts look toward the finish!!! If you are thinking too much You should be doing some action. MOVE!!
I’m always split on Dame. On one end, he drops crazy game. On the other end he talks to hear himself talk. You really have to sift through his interviews to find what’s truly useful.
Sky Blylevin I agree. Dame got gems and great business sense but his style and way of communicating things can come off as condescending and too brash for most people to handle.
Dame Dash is brilliant, but no one can compare themselves to Jeaus! Sacrligeous and Blasphemy! Be careful, about your analogies!! Dame Dash has Great advice, but why does he keep bragging about how much money he has or what he own$?! I know the story when he was loyal to Jay-Z and threatened that slimy owner of "Sleepying Bag Record$, to get Jay-Z's royalty check and get Jay-Z released from a shitty record deal Jay-Z signed!! Then Dame went and got Jay-Z a $2Million advance from Def Jam Records!! Now, that was a Boss move! Can't believe Jay-Z and Dame can't find some "common ground" and stop fighting in public!!
Alright Nick. This was the interview that put me on. From Dr. Carr to Dame Dash, you are successfully bridging gaps for brothers like me. It's deeper than that... the bridge is not in my understanding of said individuals, it's the navigation of personalities. You are a great interviewer! Your skills are developing brohamlet. Keep it up. Anyone who considers themselves a success should follow suit and start over with a plan to build those under you, who are looking up to what you've accomplished. Btw, Dame stay clean.
Dude!!!!!! You two should do a show every fucking day... I swear I’d be tuned in!!!! You guys have great chemistry together! I’ve never seen Dame interact with anyone like this! Awesome man!!!!!!
It was easy for Dame to interact with Nick because they respect each other, they could agree to disagree on whatever but, also they listened to each other, it was not about being right. Nick is a Mogul and can learn from Dame (Mogul) because he's been in the game for a while. You are never too old to learn and be put up on game.
Yes indeed. Nick couldnt even keep it all the easy real. He worked with rkelly bevause of the star status. A lot of people back then did not care about the aaliyah situation.
Nick put him in a corner at the end. Dame knew Jay was fuckin a kid and still worked with him. Nick is an industry insider Dame can't pull that shit on Nick. Nick knows.
I respect nick in some ways but when you join Hollywood (devilwoods) you can't be of the almighty God so I can't fully respect him for that...blessings my friend
