I used my new 10 foot long ramp today on a Taskrabbit job. I show you a complete setup and breakdown as I used it to load a washer and dryer. I ended with a review of the product.
Good Video, Might think about putting some ratchet straps at the top to put tension on the top sides of ramp to van. Would make more stable. Chains allow to be loose at the top. Or at lease one side of ramp replace with ratchet strap to put tension on the ramp and chain.
That thing looks unsafe to me. I saw this other ramp that hides away and 5 seconds to deploy and would be much safer and perhaps open up the ability to move motorcycles as well as easier to move items alone. You probably saw it. Its sold by "National Fleet Products" and called "Hide-a-ramp". It takes up 6 inches from the Hight of your inner van floor but it seems less cumbersome than some of the other hydraulic ramps I have seen. Anyway thought i would mention it as you also said you were possibly looking into getting a Liftgate and this might do just as well. Not sure of the price though I suspect its 5k or so.
