@Tom I can hardly put into words how little sense this comment makes. The earth would be moved only by this booster IF he is held. If it wouldnt be held, but would jet off, it would've no influence on the earths rotation at all. So why should´ve "Kris tian" thought that the booster would move the earth if there was nothing to hold it in place? I have never read such a big logic knot in so few letters :D
@Baumhauskrampf
@Baumhauskrampf 2 года назад
@Tom who is that "they" you are talking about? You definetly replied to Kris tian. And it is held at rest not by the earth but by a large, purpose-built structure attached to the earth. And because its held back, it definetly has an impact on the earth rotation, as everythin has. even you do a push on the earth by jumping. Its just incredible small, but measurable. So yes it definetly has a push on the earth, but do you mean, that it changes the earths rotaiton drasticly? wtf, you even need 2 + onflight engine to just move a small rocket into space, how can 1 have the tiniest bit of relevant impact on the earths rotation then?
@eross.carmona7235
@eross.carmona7235 2 года назад
@Tom The person isn't referring to the mountains or the earth, but to the structure built in front of it, to keep the booster from moving, so they can test it Which honestly, I was also thinking the same. Imagine how much force the booster is exerting on that structure, continuosly as the fuel burns, and yet, it resists. It is indeed quite impressive.

It's on Earth in a 12.3 psi air pressure. Chemistry being what it is those propellants would not ignite in the vaccum of space. That's right even though the oxidizer is mixed right with the fuel with no ambient air pressure the molecules don't sustain combustion. Gunpowder doesn't burn in a vacuum of 150k feet equivalent explosive compounds don't explode in even relatively weak vaccums.
