Can the software be used to swap positions of keys? Ex: I am on a Mac and the Win key functions as Cmd and alt key functions as option, the placements of windows keyboards throw me off a bit, so is it possible to remap their positions?

does this software tell you of what charge the keyboard is? I'm actually kind in a problem where sometimes this keyboard (RK87) just keeps blinking while charging and it misleads me to thinking that this is fully charged and then 2-3 days later its asking for me to charge again (usually lasts 1 week of my usage if charged fully)

huh for mine there should be a light on the keyboard itself not on the software the software doesn't know how much it's charged other then if it's connected or not or to customise ur Marcos or lights

connect using bluetooth mode, windows should then tell you in the settings how much charge it has left

Hi, If you press Fn+Enter on they board, the 1-0 keys will light up in scale showing battery capacity :)

Hi, may I ask does Reset keyboard data means reset the entire keyboard include the key bindings? cause I thought it just like Fn + space, so I reset it. Now my keyboard doesn't transceive any input signal to my laptop, but it got Capslock indicator on when I press on my laptop keyboard. In the software, I still can change the lightning effect thats all.. plz help me.

I have a problem, when I customize the lightning effects and unplug the keyboard the effects that I created disappear and it start to uso the determined effect, how do I keep the cuztomize effect without having the keyboard connected or is not possible?

Try resetting ur keyboard to factory, and set your profile again, if it forgets the profile when u unplug it means the keyboard doesn't have a chip to remember ur profile, this mean it will not remember what ever you set as long you unplug the cable, otherwise u can ask your seller if it faulty

Hi there, great video btw! So far yours is the most informative I've watched on explaining the rk software and its features. I just wanted to ask if you have any idea how I could fix my rkg68. It types the first and second tow simultaneously so when I type q, the input is 1q and when I type w the input is 2w and so on. It's like the first and second row are grounded. Do you know how to fix this by any chance? I haven't modded it yet but I tried factory resetting and changing the switches, but nothing works. Thanks so much!

uhm u can try you can try resetting the keyboard using the software if it doesn't work u can try connecting it to other computer to see if the issue persists if it does probably something in the keyboard faulty then I probably should contact ur seller or whoever u bought it from otherwise try switchin out the switch in the keyboard if all doesn't work then rip u probably need to buy a new one

Yes it's saved as long u keep it charged when needed to u can bring it wherever you want without issues and it will be saved

@@_RISK1 From what i know u wil lstill buy the same keyboard and they just have the wireless and 2.4 included, But u can CHOOSE not to use it. And connect it by the cable to pc and have it work like that

hey bro pls respond i need help is there anyway you can change a colour on keypress (for example) whitelit backlight but then when you press a certain key it changes to static red

uhhh... I'm not too sure but if u can't follow my example in the video that meant either it doesn't support it or its bugged, try checking the pinned comment and find the exact model for your keyboard and use that to see if it works

Do you have the ability to choose a specific color for each key? For example have everything set to white but have enter and spacebar be red light?

Honestly I think it's just the windows Bluetooth connection is bad or Ur using a usb Bluetooth both of it isn't good I recommend just using the dongle that came with the keyboard

@@-blaise thanks. i got the keyboard, download the software it detect the keyboard perfectly. i set the custom rgb light, however, the moment i remove the usb cable, the custom ight no longer works. does it has to always connect to the usb cable for the custom lighting to work?

@@cwtjones Well yes and no. If you just want custom static lights you don't need to connect it but if you want it with light effects you need to connect it. If you want to customize the (static) colors and save it in wireless mode 1. You need to change it in "Light effect mode" it should be the one with the light bulb icon (it is showed here 8:49). 2. Find "Customize" and customize you lights. 3. Disconnect the usb cable then connect via bluetooth/2.4g. I don't know what keyboard you have but just cycle through the light modes mine is ("fn" + "\") until you find your custom lights.

hi yours is like the only video i saw about this and its very informative, but i have this problem that i always have to open the rk software when i boot up my laptop and manually open my dse file for the custom lights from the documents folder where its saved. i just wanna know what i should do so that i would be able to boot up my laptop and just have it on already (i know the app turns on at startup because my lights on the keyboard turn off because thats the default profile in the custom lights tab)

So I tried the software(using the rk100) and it says connected to device rk860, and now some of the keys on my rk100 are not working as they should, I tried factory resetting and data reset and it still doesnt work, do you have any suggestions or solutions to fix it?

The software seems to work fine with my keyboard. But I'm having a scaling issue with the software. I cannot fit the app to my screen and and not able to access settings on the bottom edge of the app. Any help would be appreciated :)

yea sadly with this version of the software it only works best with a 16:9 1080p screen. since this software can't be scaled or adjusted so there isn't really much I can do but I can trying finding ur exact model in my pinned comments since that software may be better not sure but it's worth a try ahah since the version I provided is compatible with most so it may not works aswell as the dedicated ones

Well it's not needed but you can upgrade it only update if you have issues with it is what I recommend but depends on u buddy

I need help with my new RK61. The software not detects via wireless dongle. I use the correct software and WHY it only detects via cable? So the wireless is useless for RGB. Am I doing wrong here?

... u didnt watch my video properly, dont go spamming everywhere else... not cool dude. I've said it ONLY works with cable. What made you even think that wireless works in the first place. The profile will be saved even after you unplug it as long u keep the battery charged... *sigh*

Hi, im wondwring on how to change a single custom key to a double key.. like pressing FN1 and you can type 1 and then press shift then @.. i'm sorry if this is confusing

u can't do that other then the manufacturer setting which is by pressing fn and 1 = F1 and pressing 1 without FN = 1 you can't make a key that change when press shift or Ctrl or fn on custom key unfortunately xD

I turned the sleep time to "no sleep" but my keyboard's lights keep going off after a certain time. Is there a solution for always having the rgb lights on? (I use wire)

Uhm... that's weird. But might be a limitation with the manufacter because if the keybaord is running wireless, having lighting on without stopping kills the battery life very fast, and that will cause even more issue. so thats probably why it still shuts off after a while.

try resetting it if that doesn't work try changing the colour I suspect it's the led that's broken or faulty if the method above doesn't fix it, if that's the case try getting a refund or claim warranty to get a new replacent

i have the same issue it happens if your screen size is small i have a laptop its 14inch and then i plug it into my secondary monitor which is a 24inch it fits perfectly

That's weird... try factory resetting your keyboard by following the manual, if that doesn't work and is brick please contact the seller and tell them the keyboard is failing. make sure the usb cable is connected properly use the included one

It SHOULD and Generally work like JustMills said. If it doesn't that means the keyboard is faulty. Any keyboard shouldn't NEED a software to work. Software is just a bonus/feature for customization. -Bing

I have rk68 plus keyboard, when it is connected via wired connection the lights are bright otherwise it gets dull in wireless mode even in full bright setting.

Its normal its because the keyboard switch from powered from USB to battery, it dims so the keyboard will lasts longer with battery like battery saving mode on smartphone. My keyboard also does that so dont worry

This means windows didnt detect ur keyboard. if you followed what i said in the video properly and it still doesnt work, please contact ur buyer for replacement or download the exact software model for ur keyboard in the pinned comment

Can you confirm if these changes are saved in its firmware and the keyboard will carry on the changes if you use it on another computer?

Once its firmware updated, it should in theory be updated in the keyboard chip. So it should still remember even with a another computer.

Hi I really need help, I downloaded the version of the software corresponding to my exact version model and PID, I ran the program as an administrator and followed all of the steps, my keyboard is plugged in and works in wired mode, I really don’t understand what I’m doing wrong

sadly as I mentioned my keyboard also only allows wired to communicate with the keyboard if you use a doggle or Bluetooth the software won't detect it.

i need some help, so yesterday the keyboard worked normally with my rk100, today it has also worked, i unplugged it so my friend could borrow it and use it, i have plugged back in with the type c cable, and the software says ''connected device'' but doesnt let me actually customize the rgb anymore, so i thougt maybe its the software? so i uninstalled it and installed it again but it doesnt open, and when it does open it says ''connected device'' but doesnt let me customize it anymore. can someone help please?

After plugging it in and setting it the keyboard will remember the profile that you used but in order to switch profile u need to use the software

Wow that’s terrible. Need to open the software just to change profile. If we are working on multiple app everytime we switch need to open the software and change there. It’s supposed to be a shortcut or a productivity keyboard but instead more hustle

Hmm try going to the rk website just search rk software and u will find and go download Ur model of software for your keyboard if still doesn't work may need ask your seller if the board they sell you got support

I think u can click on the center of the appl can move it unlike normal tab like chrome where u need to click on the top to move try that hopefully it works

when you record a macro it follows every step you do that should be a stop key on the software, if not u have to manually stop it

I'm not sure about the usb version u can try going to their official website and find Ur exact model and download the software then it should work also make sure Ur computer detect the keyboard I'm not sure if Ur board support the software is the only issue

you would have to have the same software from RK and the profiles from previous inorder to import it or export to get the light pattern you would need to find file and import it but those have to be customized by someone or you have to do it yourself to get it

@@NomedigasYisus it saved locally on the keyboard after you configured it on the software make sure the keyboard doesn't run out of battery so it remembers the setting and you will be fine can be used on other pc and will remember settings

the keyboard works so trying finding the manual and use the shortcuts to change the keyboard lighting without the software if that doesn't work just using the software factory reset and see if it works also does ur keyboard actually support lighting and what model

Just try to reset it to factory settings u can see it in the video where I mention you can reset the keyboard to default and if it still doesn't work then I should try contact the person u bought the keyboard from and see if they can replace it
