I think Lucas was the right choice for Elizabeth. Pairing her with Nathan would have just been a rerun of Elizabeth and Jack--boring!!! Lucas will be a better match because Elizabeth will have a life similar to the one she grew up in--s life of privilege, theater, fine dining,etc. I am looking forward to next season. Hopefully, Nathan will have a love interest, possibly Faith? This gives the show new life and possibly extends the show several more seasons!!!

I just discovered this program on Netflix and I have not stopped watching it, excellent production, tremendous cast, costumes and photography. The subjects are treated with great delicacy, as it was at that time, the actors, specifically the men, are beautiful, they are a feast for the eyes. It is unfortunate that Jack, the main character, has left for personal reasons, but perhaps, the direction and executive producers can reach an agreement with him, so that he returns, he definitely gave life to the love that is what the program is about.

Hi, guys I love this series, it's a delight to watch. This series shows the friendship, the love, the respect for the children, for the teacher, it brings a longing for the country school where everyone gets together for the common good. Of course, it exists as greedy people, but good overcomes evil. I cried a lot when Jack died. I live in Brazil and I am waiting to be back on Netfilx. I'm a Brazilian fan. I was loving the series but I was extremely saddened by Daniel's departure and knowing that he had to die as a character, as there would be no going back. However the series is fabulous and the actors are excellent and brilliant. I love Rosymarie and the romantic couple Jack and Elizabeth made me believe in love again, in its simplicity and realize that this is a desire that lives in every human soul. I congratulate the producers and everyone who took part in the cast especially for Jack and Elizabeth. I saw this show accidentally in netflix... the pilot episode was a surprise!! When i saw jack i said wow what a good looking man.. then the stories.. i was glued for hours! The show was such just a feel good.. no much bad guys but fills you with life experiences... such such such an amazing cast.. speaking if the cast.. sorry but they are all good looking.. from kids to adults.. every character was also played very well.. Im a certified fan!! ❤❤❤

Sería una tremenda serie, encantaría a todos si terminara con tofo su elenco original. El centro era el tremendo amor y complicidad entre Jack y Elizabeth y eso ya no existe.....ya no es para nada lo mismo, Tenían la oportunidad de una magna producción sin episodios tan tristes como la muerte de uno de sus principales personajes. With me it was about how the show put my emotions on a roller coaster ride from the beginning of WCTH the way they did Elizabeth and Jack's characters with will they or won't they get together or get with someone else then when we do finally see them getting together Jack goes missing a lot, then he's back, then they finally get married and then he's gone AGAIN then boom dead. I don't know how others can forgive the show for treating us like that for 5 seasons but for sure I don't. Especially since Elizabeth's husband doesn't die in the books they should had replaced Lissing with another actor to play Jack's part. He is not the only good actor in the world. And for those that say the whole chemistry thing between them no one else would have but yet Elizabeth will have someone else but it just won't be Jack. I can say I have had absolutely no desire whatsoever to watch the show anymore after Jack died. I will check in to see how the actors are doing when something comes up in my youtube feed about them but no desire to watch the show at all.
Good to know am not along on the 'heartbroken feeling'. WCTH is never the same without Jack. He's like the roof of the series. 😔 ... wish he will make a come back. Am sure the writers can do that. Now, depends on the actor if he still wants to be a part of it. (Praying for him to say yes🙏)
