When that person is prob older than 50 and has only been missing a few hours, the police doesn’t really believe something happened, since the probability of the dad just being mad at someone and wanting to be alone for a day or so is higher than the probability that something bad happened to him.
That one commenter that said to stop threatening the hospital employees has no right to say that bc she had every right to be let into her fathers room.
Not necessarily. It depends on the situation with his next of kin and if he has one, POA. If he lives with his brother, the brother could be the next of kin. My mum had my aunt has hers for a long time until I was old enough to take over despite her parents still being alive and well. If the next of kin specifically states that they don’t want visitors of any kind visiting then hospital staff must obey from what I understand. There’s a lot of legal stuff involved and you can’t just run into the ER after screaming at staff on the phone and expect to be trusted either. Would you trust someone that was screaming at receptionists in your place of work, especially if that receptionist has no background of being difficult? It’s more complicated than having the right to see their father. It’s sad but true.😢 Under no circumstances should hospital staff be intimidated or threatened anyway. Unless they’re doing something to actively harm a patient for example giving them something they’re allergic to and the allergy is clearly stated, that is the only type of situation that warrants yelling at staff.
The receptionist screwed up by saying she isn't supposed to give iut that information, indirectly confirming that the dad is inpatient at the hospital. If she wasn't supposed to give out his status, that means the uncle told the staff to not let anyone know they were there, since the father most likely couldn't say that himself. The uncle hiding the hospital admission makes the circumstances of the injury more suspicious.
Anyone can phone up and pretend to be next of kin. If I was the hospital worker I’d also be suspicious about why they are searching for their dad this way and that maybe there is a reason for OP not knowing their dad’s condition and whereabouts.
i mean, the aunt and uncle could’ve lied to the employees about OP being the reason that the dad was injured or that they’re mentally ill or violent and shouldn’t be near the dad
It’s all about the life insurance! Follow the money-whoever the beneficiaries are they are in cohoots with whoever hurt him and oh yeah OP actually has kids but says she doesn’t to drive him over the edge to become his “trusted” healthcare proxy so she can pull the plug
Well, I think that the doctor saying there was cell death, he might be saying that the injury is not reversible. Add to the drugs they gave him, it makes you wonder if some of the damage was caused by that. Does he have weakness on one side or the other? Which side? He will need to go to some sort of rehab so they can work with him and make sure he can do his activities of daily living. He likely needs to retire if he survives.
At certain times your body starts to heal slower and this wasn’t Alzheimer’s. This was a concussion! He lost brain cells and you don’t get those back, they don’t regenerate like that! it was head trauma.
Short verion of rest of story: Its not dementia, dad has concussion. Uncle acted sus and OP believes that dad and uncle had a fight. Basically dad "fell hard" on concrete, like so hard he had brain damage and dr says he had enough pain killers for a horse, OP thinks uncle kept giving them to avoid taking dad to dr. Last update was the cops got a statement but thata where the story ends
I hope your father again some sort of consciousness maybe speak to a specialist that would be a better judge of medical because a specialist can help your father the one I'm referring to is a the ones who deal with comas and stuff like that specialist they are more knowledgeable than standard doctors continue to be nice to your standard doctors and your father's doctors because that does help out in the medical industry and ask for your brother and your sister your sister probably doesn't have that is relationship or connection because she was most likely quite young when all of this happened your brother just have a talk with him in a conversation with him and explain how you're feeling about everything and then get him to open up about how he was feeling about the incident and he might be able to open up and you might be able to help men bridges between you and him and that in the long run could also help you and your brother and hopefully your father will recover to some quality of his life. And for your aunt and uncle maybe enquire with their neighbours and friends to find out what happened because some of them would have actually been present or quite possibly could have seen what happened and maybe have security cameras footage of the incident 🙏
I am going to share my story: When I was in middle school I had this friend who I will call Andrew, he was often getting in trouble and getting yelled at by teachers, but he was always nice to me, and I fell in in love with him, we often laughed at me trying to draw which he was great at and I wasn’t during the summer of thay year, i was going into 7th and Andrew was going into 8th we started dating we often talked about doing stuff like kissing and cuddling, Pt 2 at 3 likes
I think he got bit by something giving him Rabies and making him confuse you for someone else, You dead that there was spit bubbles at the edge of his mouth, Maybe not Idk
Whaaaaat? What happened to the father? And no doubted were the aunt and uncle trying to end his life, a amount to numb a horse amount of painkillers is definitely a way to kill somebody, it ended when there was nothing to say if the aunt and uncle went to jail nor abput if the father was still alive, what a waste of 19 minutes of my life. Sheesh
Honestly, i figured the dad had a brain tumor, why?, depending on the size and placement of the tumor, it can and will alter, not only your memories, but also partially/fully altering one's personality (yes, sounds alot lile dementia right), would also explain the headaches, (for those unaware, a brain tumor makes your brain expand, and our skulls only has so much "free space" for expansion)
That would not cause that much confusion that fast. Plus it wouldn't be impact damage or whatever. It sounds like something was thrown at him or that the uncle punched him more
I hate when stories end like this. Not we’re left wondering what else happened. Waiting for at least one more update. Because not for nothing, this ending was bad.
