I had to hear this story Twice. Erin’s involvement, as well as their mother, IS In FACT breaking up her parent’s marriage. Her poor husband. He shouldn't have gone through with that wedding and for that, he'll be miserable bc he won't have the siblings as buffers. I'd rather lose money that I can rebuild than my own happiness. Think of how spoiled she is and what she demands.

First, I want to acknowledge that the father underwent significant character development, evolving from being oblivious to apologizing for specific events with each individual. It was a brave thing to do, and he deserves credit for it. However, it's clear that the real villain is the girl, Erin, and the mother's actions are even worse. I apologize for saying that, but seriously, what the fuck? At least the other siblings had each other during those times, given the series of events in this story. Eventually, the dad and Erin's husband both became invested and began to cooperate with the rest of the family.

I really liked this story I listen to a lot of these stories but it’s something about this one that sounds so much more real like some parts of the story I was able to hear the hurt I know that sounds crazy specially since it’s a robotic voice but the way the story is being told maybe subconsciously I can relate in some way 🤷🏽‍♀️not sure but I truly enjoyed this story

My brother and his wife did the same thing to me. Two out of my three brothers were not at my graduation because of this. Along with a couple of family friends. Thankfully, a lot of my family stood up for me and we’re at my graduation despite everything. We still went to their wedding reception. We were just a little late. My sister-in-law is a narcissist and we have to be careful of what we say around my brother so, that his wife doesn’t threaten us and not let us see him or the kids. I have two nieces and nephews by blood but, i’m not nearly as close to his kids as I am my other niece and nephew.

Tbh if that was me I'd probably crack at first and try to forgive either the mom or Erin. I am a very forgiving person even if it is to my detriment - it's both my greatest strength and my greatest weakness as it bit me several times over the years because I repeatedly forgave those that didn't deserve it. But eventually, I would probably recognize the hopelessness of the situation and shut off contact - I'd probably try to reconcile later to see if things changed and if they didn't I'd go silent mode again. Then again - I have great parents and a great relationship with my older sister - so I suppose I'll never know what I would do in that situation, I can only speculate based on my past experiences in life.
