The OP's decision to end the marriage and leave her husband was totally worth it in more ways than one and she will be a happier person in the long run, good to go for her.

In the 1980s I had my back broken in 4 places, 3 miscarriages, neck damages, nerve damage, called cops once! Phone ripped out of walk while trying but hit him in nose when I couldn’t hold it( I worked with these cops from emergency room for 5 years) they said they would have to arrest us both due to his nose scratch even though my neck was red hand marks and back was red and swollen 😮, I would not go to jail with 2 small children next door waiting for me(spending night at playmates) I stayed, he convinced my family he did nothing, I was lying, my back neck was in my head! My 4 back surgeries never questioned😢 my now adult children know❤ he broke his #2 wife’s arm as well! He tells kids he did dumb things when he was young!! 😂 narcissists are dangerous!! They only get worse!!

My extremely old-fashioned morals husband from rural Mexico (think rural America 1930s) has never asked me to put on a tracker. He's never asked to put Life360 on my phone or anything like it. Not because he's not aware of those things, but because he's not a complete and total psycho. Just traditional. The cameras, the tracker, the gaslighting, the sketchy divorce paperwork, she absolutely made the right decision. Under no circumstances would I have stayed in that house any longer than I absolutely had to to make a clean getaway. This is absolutely terrifying. And the fact that his family does not see his actions as, at the bare minimum, problematic means that they would 100% have facilitated his continued abuse and justified it to her to the point that she believed she deserved it. I'm a very traditional, very conservative, very religious woman and there is no way on God's green earth I would tell my daughter or daughter-in-law that any of this is okay.
