I enjoyed the missions. I don't expect anything outrageous so I was satisfied. Not the best set of missions in the game, but certainly not the worst. But it got me around the map to unlock a bunch and I enjoyed the content.
I did the entirety of the main missions and I will be honest… I did not like it, it felt like they were setting up you getting a pseudo mela tigress. Only to find it dead on the floor. Also the final mission glitched for me as I spotted the snow leopard you were not supposed to see, it was neon green and untextured lv7 male that I tried to shoot at but I couldn’t and it ran.
@@melsgaming01 another reason I thought we would get the tiger was that I thought that they were setting the story up based on a real maneating tiger, that killed 500+ people, that eventually got slain by Jim Corbett, this even lines up with the teeth being shot by a poacher forcing it to go for easy prey, which makes me so confused.
Tbh im kinda glad they dont actually give you a free rare, since it kinda removes value from that particular rare, as people sometimes pretend they got mission rares as actual rares (if you know what i mean) and as they make that rare feel a bit less special when you find a real one. What they should do instead imo is bring back mission exclusive variations. Those are awesome and actually do feel rewarding, without interfering with the actual rares.
I fully agree with you! That or at least let us shoot the tiger but not be able to claim it- just something other than inspecting a corpse as the main event…
Yeah, cuatro and te both had mission unique fur types but in this one you don’t get to shoot anything so there was no point in telling you it was a rare
@eypick6987 I normally do mission first on the new map. Sometimes, a mission is a guide. You can know some history or background of the new map. Idk other player.. but I really enjoy the mission.

Why they didn't solve the problem with the🤔 Rare Tiger like they used to do with the older maps and simply integrate it as a mission animal is a mystery to me. And I'd better not even start with the obvious flaws in the mission design. That combined with the constant stream of Cosmetic low effort DLCs is giving me a constant🚩 RED FLAG 🚩alarm right now. 1 Map a year and 12 Cosmetic Packs each for 2.99 so if you don't see a pattern, you probably have the rose-colored glasses on which the Expansive Worlds can do anything syndrome is injected, they would never do anything wrong. As is and was often the case in this community. But to be honest, I wouldn't expect anything different after all these years. Btw I'm someone who owns every DLC and has been playing cotw for more than 4 years and has spent several thousand hours in it.😌 I have a very bad feeling that with such a wide introduction and acceptance of cosmetic packs, Cotw has reached a point where you can say MONEY RUINS everything! And this particularly applies to the area of games and game design. And theoretically, the thought process as to why you should continue to bring 2 maps per year when you can earn twice as much with 12 or more cosmetic packs, even if only 1/3 of the players buy them, is a completely legitimate question. Of course, this is not in the interest of the players/customers but purely in the interest of profit. I hope I'm wrong, but I wouldn't rule out the possibility that this will continue to happen in the future
As much as i hate getting handed free trophies this time it kinda sucked because they hyped it up so much just for it to be dead already i would have loved to have at least seen it alive
I was dissapointed with the tigress, I was expecting some longer guestline similar to Champawat tigress where the tiger would kill some people and you would hunt it down like Jim Corbett did. What we got was too short and kinda meh. My expectations were high when we were told by early access content creators that they can't discuss the missions.
I've done the story missions almost right from the start. I would say it's good for unlocking your map because they make you go almost everywhere, but I really hoped for something more than just going to this location. Go to that location, nothing really you had to achieve. I like the Medvet, Te awroa or Cuatro stories where it's a bit scary and you need to at least do something. It's also rough Mel because you didn't even notice the Clear Snow Leopard at the end, so you have litterly no idea what's going on. Thankyou so much for the video ❤😊
Thank you so much! My pleasure! Yeah I totally agree with you! Yeah I saw the blue thing but I assumed it was an object to collect and so missed out on seeing the leopard much at all. Really could’ve used some dialogue or something more there to tell you to look I feel. Thank you so much!
Thanks for the video, Mel. So we get the new rifle part way through and not at the end of the main quest. Really makes it skippable. I guess the days of proper story telling are gone now in place of another lecture on conservation. I get it. It's an important topic. I don't have a problem with it being part of the main missions but they should be about something a bit more, I feel. EW has yet to make conservation into a compelling mission pack in any of the maps, IMHO. Can we have the collector of hookey soap opera videos back? The dubious 'disappearances' of anyone who wants to know where's the 'gold'? The old hunter going snow mad? The Africa stories gave me *chills* when I started following the jackal into the cave. They all fell like a long time ago now.
I just finished the story missions myself, and it felt like an emotional roller coaster ride the whole entire time. It started off feeling so intense, it was like "you just got here, and we're immediately going to have you track a man-eating tiger", and I was just thinking "what a way to start"! I have to admit that I was sort of surprised that it didn't let you shoot the pseudo melanistic tigress and harvest it, I thought it was going to be like the special wolves in Cuatro's storyline or the Mocha moose on Te Awaroa. To just find it dead was a surprising twist, although personally I would have preferred it if we had to shoot it. The way they had you go and prepare to travel up into the Himal region for the first time definitely felt pretty cool, it felt like we actually were gearing up to go somewhere dangerous, and I liked the emphasis on that. Checking the camera traps for snow leopards was pretty neat too. The final part with the ghost snow leopard had me on the edge of my seat, because I wasn't expecting anything quite like that, but the way it ended with you blacking out was very abrupt and sort of disappointing imo. I would have liked it if we had to actually follow the ghost and see where it came from or learn more of what its actual backstory was. Personally I think Vurhonga's story missions did the "supernatural animal encounter" sort of thing a lot better. But overall I enjoyed the missions and had fun with them, I was just hoping that the storyline would have lasted a bit longer.
Just starting to do the missions, when I got to where you were @ 12:38 just after the audio stopped i got knocked out by a tiger, and based on the animation after the attack it looked to be pseudo melanistic so I figured it was part of the mission. Now I know to go back there and look around, Thanks for the video
Can you help me out with this side mission called "Tiger Crossing". I have finished putting up the warning sign but I got sidetracked and did another mission. Now I'm confused about what I should do, the objectives mentioned something about scaring the tigers away from the trail.
Oh I’m so sorry but I haven’t done that side mission- is there no description for the side mission objective in the missions tab when you open the map?
@@stacygunz88 After shooting animals from the nearby lakes and river, it just said mission complete. I'm not sure if you need to shoot a particular animal but I was grinding for Nilgais and after shooting a certain amount, the objective was marked as completed without any effort to do so. Hope this helps.
Mel i found a way to grind snow leopards if you want to know you need the tower skill where it unlocks zones if you max out the 4 top towers it will most likely show you at leaat one or multiple zones for 1 snow leopards so when you kill one you just ise the perk again showing the respawn zones and it works well and probably the most consistent way to kill them with the few numbers on the animals but for the best work on these is to max out zones around the towers so that everytime you go back its guaranteed to be the snow leopard unless you ruin a zone but it takes along time to max them out for it to work with the cooldown of the skill
