Trespassing, breaking and entering, forged items, vandalized, assault, false evidence/lying to cops, possible cite of littering…. They’re really being stupid. That’s a solid 2 years in jail if you sue and win, not to mention the complications of Dan’s children if he is put in jail.
@@SwzsThey're fucked anyways with the parents they got. Frankly, having their Father and Mother carted off to jail would probably let them lead better lives, or at least give them a chance. Better for them to have a chance at being raised by normal human beings than the demon spawn they have now that is teaching them they can just take and take and take cause they "deserve stuff more than others"

Nah,they be in jail for more then 2 years bruh. 1 assault 3 trespassing 1 falls evidence 1 lying to cops(which i dont know if legal or not) Changing locks without the owners approvel Attempting to move into someones house without their consent Also,if the brother had a job he could easily Just buy his own house. This is kinda reckless endangerment for him and his wife and kids,considering that the parents cant afford 9 peolple in 1 house with groceries,rent and child serveses.
This is an old and known story and had a nice update. Basically after OP got the house all set up, he had a Christmas party and all the family made the trip over and marveled at how nice it was to gather at his house and see the camper too. Parents and brother couple tried to crash the party but the whole family rejected their BS and tossed them out. Afterward, many relatives slept over due to drunkenness and some slept in the camper. Whole family agreed this was a great get together and thought maybe this could be a traditional get together. Also, something something Ray Charles Christmas CD.
Even bigger update came later on: Dan found out SIL was cheating on him and the new baby wasn't his. He woke up from his pity-party to see wife's entitled behavior more clearly (he and family were sick of it) and began to tear her to shreds in the divorce. OPs and Dan's relationship began to improve and his parents slowly began learning how to treat him better. SIL was as much a jerk as ever and blamed OP for her problems.

I'm just a stranger on the internet and I LOATH this family, completely outrageous entitlement and favoritism. All four of them can go piss off and leave OP alone, never contact him in any way ever again, I am sure he won't miss them!
It can't be that good of a job since Dan can't even move out of mommy and daddy's house, he is a parasite living off his parents and using them to help with the kids.
To be honest, those sea backgrounds are far more simulating and relaxing than the mobile games and bright asmr videos usually on in the background of most reddit narration videos. I found myself just staring at the waves hitting rocks. Great work!

@@Claire_K. they could still send him money/support if they knew he was homeless. It also very weird... That "too far" and "likes the area" felt like a giant hole in the story. Definitely he's holding something back. His homelessness sounded self-inflicted. As much as he went on about the trials of living in a camper, it sounds like he chose that life.
@@Akhhmorn He said his family moved away because his family kept complaining, so they had to know that much, and they were apparently all sharing a Facebook and communicated, so it wasn't like they had contact with him. He'd have had to keep it from them in purpose... And if that's true... It does take quite a lot of steam out of his complaints when you realize it was a self imposed exile.
He could tell them at every opportunity to move out of their own house and do it for Dan, but OP is better than his parents thankfully. Actually that's a really low bar... one that's underground, he is far better than his parents.

To who ever you are. I applaud you for sticking up to the nastiness of the family that did you so wrong. I wouldn’t and could never treat mine or anyone else’s children the way yours treated you. After listening to your story I just wanted to tell you that , even though I don’t know you, I am very proud of you. This could of broken you, but it didn’t. You showed them that you stood on your own two feet and succeeded in life. And look how jealous they became of that. They are deluded to think they had rights over what you saved for and achieved. There’s a whole other part of this Dan comes back, separated from the wife borrowing the camper living in the backyard and the kids are taking the rooms inside and he steps up to be a better dad. His wife went and lived with her parents because she couldn’t deal.
Sad that you were born into such a toxic family. But after you got back on your feet I'd gotten a restraining order against the entire family and make sure they never come near you again

I remember listening to this story and there was some updates from the OP. If I remember correctly after some time they find out the the sister in law was cheating and some of the kids wasn't Dan's. Honestly can't remember too much, it has been quite some time since I read it.
