Once the step dad started about op moving, she should have went to her mum. And if her mum didn't back op up then she should have said that if she was being forced to move out then to not contact op again for anything. It's clear both parents favoured the sister, because if your own mother can't stand up for you then you have no chance. I feel no sympathy for how the mum and dad ended up. Um moving is no big deal here. It is reality. OP is an adult fully grown. You don't stay in a place you're unwated. If she was a teen I'd be sympathetic. I don't think anyone is ever really "ready" to move. I sure wasn't. You're grown and the person who owned the house wanted you out. You start planning to leave.

Yes , but the house belongs to the step-father so if he wants to let his daughter live there it’s his choice. He doesn’t owe his 25 year old step daughter anything even if she pays rent . He needs to give her the legal eviction notice and follow the law of course .
