One and Two Touch Training: Tight Spaces & Triangle Movement
Welcome to our simple technical session focusing on one and two touch play in tight spaces, transitioning into medium-sized triangle drills for enhanced movement and fitness. This session is crafted to sharpen your quick touch skills, improve spatial awareness, and boost your overall game fitness.
Session Breakdown:
Warm-Up (not shown): Begin with dynamic stretches and light ball drills to prepare your body and mind for an intense workout.
Tight Space Drills:
Quick Touch (small triangle):
- Easing into the session with one touch (bounces back to partner) with pattern movement around the triangle.
- Moving into "stick + play" with the same movement around the triangle, with increasing intensity.
- Adding the two together with a bounce + two touch (directional). Bounce outside of the triangle, drop, directional touch around the back of the triangle.
- Finally, adding a second bounce, bounce inside the triangle, lateral movement, bounce outside the triangle, drop, directional two touch, and repeat.
Triangle Drills:
Triangle Passing: Form a medium-sized triangle with your partner(s) and focus on sharp, quick one and two touch passes.
Movement Integration: Add dynamic movement to the triangle drill, ensuring constant off-the-ball movement to create passing lanes.
Combination Play:
Tight to Open Play: Start in a tight space and gradually expand into the triangle formation, emphasizing fluid transitions and continuous movement.
Fitness Drills: Incorporate fitness elements like sprints and shuttle runs within the triangle setup to enhance endurance and agility.
Cool-Down (not shown): Finish with a series of stretches and relaxation exercises to promote recovery and prevent injury.
