I find it funny that Alcaraz heard Tsitsipas complaining and smiled. Then grunted even louder in the next point. He was trolling him 😂

Don’t like Tsitsipas but I agree with him on that, Alcaraz is way too loud and he’s inconsistent with the way he does it, clearly to put his opponent off and it’s really effective in tiebreaks where every point is so important. Djokovic did it to Cerundolo as well, sometimes wasn’t grunting but then did a loud and extended grunt on a key point.
@Azzurra11111
@Azzurra11111 3 месяца назад
Clearly? Grunts are not meant to put your opponent off. I think you really underestimate how bad of a person you have to be to have that intention. Alcaraz is just grunting for the reason why 90% grunts, just sounds and looks cool bro. No intent to put the opponent off. I do think tho that they dont take into consideration how distracting it can be when they extend their grunts.

I don't like anyone grunting but it's not a hindrance if the grunt stops before you try to hit the ball. Tennis players are too sensitive, I would allow the crowd to get involved more during the points as well. It's not like they train in silence. Yet everyone should stop breathing because they are hitting the ball.

I empathize with his argument. If it can be regulated, fine. But I will be surprised if that happens. The reason is that there are more reasons to favorably consider it than to clamp down on it. It's like saying, for example, that fighters shouldn't grunt while fighting. Extended or not, Tsitsipas must learn to adapt and deal with player grunts because it's just as punishing as it is helpful to the fellow who grunts. Tennis is an extremely physical sport and if you want to win on the biggest stages and consistently, you should be allowed to do everything within the rules of the game to win. Grunting does not violate any current or existing rules.

i don't the slice would be his salvation against Carlos. Zverev has a pretty good record vs. Carlitos and he does not slice at all The problem is simply that Stefanos is a hyper aggressive player that doesnt like to defend. Tsitsipas is a pathetic and pitiful player. Every time you lose a point, a set or a match against a player it is always for something. I'm going to answer that shit he said about Alcaraz's growl expanding when the ball bounced and that's why "according to him" he lost the point, "which is an absolute lie," because he lost the point because Alcaraz's ball hit him. stronger than he expected and when he tried to return that ball with the same force with which he hit the ball, it was not enough for him to pass the net... but anyway... Any hater who thinks otherwise and agrees with Tsitsipas, that's what they are for... This is what Tsitsipas said at the press conference and to which I responded with Alcaraz's grunt... Tsitsipas: I think Alcaraz has some of the best ball skills on the circuit. Every time I play against him he makes shots of a quality that I don't see in anyone else. It always puts me in trouble. He hits deep balls with a lot of lift and I can't find the solution. He dominates me with patience, but he also has the patience to score points. I haven't felt that way against many players, you can count them on one hand. I don't think I can do much against him no matter how hard I try. Alcaraz controls the ball exceptionally and can change direction with astonishing ease. He reminds me a bit of Djokovic when he plays: the way he accumulates points, how he uses his head to constantly find tactical solutions. Answer everyone. He is an intelligent tennis player, with a very high tennis IQ. That makes things more difficult. You have to be very precise against him. During the game I had the impression that he made good shots but his responses were better. I tried everything today, but it didn't work. 😉😎👍
