I love the idea of the breeze-way connecting to the shop. It offers separation while still being right next door. The bathroom in the shop is a MAN requirement for those Sunday paper moments with long articles to read.
Thank you to the home owner for allowing you to share this with us! Erick it kills me that you can’t build in my area. Lol but I understand. You take such pride in your work, great job as always. You can’t talk pricing but we know the concrete is a dollar a square foot. 😂😂😂😂 be safe and keep those videos coming!
I really like this layout. If it was me, I'd make the house a bit larger and the shop a bit smaller, adding a 4th bedroom and a rec-room area, but I like the split design. Well done!
Congratulations Erik, this bar do is a prime example of QUALITY workmanship. The attention to detail is very apparent throughout. Well done. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
wow just WOW!! love it . Thank you Eric for sharing this Barndo with us and thank you to the owners for allowing you to show us. This home is Gorgeous! I am so jealous we are moving to Texas from Ohio in Feb. but to the Tyler Tx. area wish we had the time and $$$ to build a Barndo.
Brilliant delivery on pricing etiquette and how viewing time is pertinent to all costs! Really enjoyed your enthusiasm for the artist's work on the walls. The chain link and the corrugated strong barn tin in the laundry room put me over the top. Using extra door height is SOOO important when working with high ceilings and volume spaces, As is extending the back splash as high as you can in kitchens. Small extra steps in the end will make all the difference and elevate the final product from after thought regret, to that of well thought out, cohesive balanced space design. Well done TB!
B. Walker These seem to be popular with those who value a large shop or garage adjacent to their living space. They also seem to be prevalent in midwestern rural or farming areas where they complement the vernacular functional aesthetic.
The presentation of the video/information is fantastic. Appreciate the awareness of pricing and how things change over time. Thank you for taking the time to produce a video that allows us to look inside another amazing Barndominium! Looking forward to more videos just like this! Additionally thank you for providing the link to Pristine Designs...wheels are turning for us!
Erik love the channel and the work you do . Thank you for sharing with all of us. Discovered your channel about a week ago and have been pretty much binge watching or listening all week. It makes me want to move to Texas just to have you build me my barndo lol. Thanks again for videos.
Another homerun mr. Cortina!!! Do you prefer the rounded hangar type roof or a traditional peaked roof? Is there an advantage or certain benefits of either? Again amazing work from you and Team Texas Barndominiums!
I see lots on benefits to the continuous roof, energy, less seams chances for leaks. But my wife is like I want a peak, do I bet I end up with a 4/14 pitch, and s happy wife. I would go with continuous, but I don't want to live in it alone, LOL
First, been watching for a while and I'm a fan of your work. Beautiful home, not my color choice, hehehe. My son is living in Round Rock, north of Austin. He is nearly ready to buy or build. Told him about your videos and he laughed at his old man. Live in a barn.....Yeh right. He finally looked at some of the videos and visited to your site. He freaked. Might be a year or two till he's ready but I'm expecting him to at least contact you while he's searching. Thanks again for the great content.
funnily enough, that's the actual brand name of the fans (including the ones in some of the bedrooms, it looks like). We used to have the huge ones at one of my former employers. www.bigassfans.com/
A checkout the website, the base sq foot price starts at $128 (that’s just basic finishes) and goes way up from there ($250 sf) This place has a lot of extras and a big shop, plus the land....easily $500k, easily.
You should make a video explaining the in's and out's of a poured concrete basement for a Barndo. I am not sure if it can be done but would love a video about the topic. I would definitely want a basement due to tornados.
That’s a really nice place. Can you come up north a little bit and build one like it. But we need to blow the shop up. I think 70 x 100 shop would be big enough.
Love this design, but the one thing that is missing from many barndo designs is a coat closet at the front door. I think this is essential so I'm surprised more of your customers don't request one.
Will you build in KY? Got several farm properties I'm considering. Rolling hills and wide open spaces so no problem bringing in materials and heavy equipment. Questions: Wind ratings. KY is in a tornado prone area. Where I'm looking they are few and far between. R ratings. (KY does get in the 20's in the winter months). Not much snow, but an occasional dump so what are your roof load numbers. Need a large garage door to accommodate a 12' 6" long Motor coach. is 14 feet doable? Thanks in advance.
I like the layout of the home. My wife however, would not like the setup for the kitchen. Far to small. On the shop, I would have flipped the overhead and make a small room that w/ bath and allow the overhead area with steps for additional storage.
So how much do your barndos cost.... As a contractor myself and a subscriber from the early days you sir have answered that question with honesty and a whole lot more patience than most people on RU-vid. I would want to jump through the screen grab people by the throat and say WTF is wrong......well I digress🙄 Thank you for your hard work and quality videos 👊😎
Good morning sir;how are you today good im sure 👍 Once again lovely home 🏡? What i need to know two know is can you please 🙏 tell me can you build? What im asking you and that is do you see 👀 how the home doesn't connect to the house with would be just perfect because with that design we really don't have to worry about any water at all coming in the home? All I need is a two bedroom home with that same floor plan?
@@TexasBarndominiums Been watching your videos for a long long time with my wife, we've always loved the work and care you and your team put into these homes! My family just bought about 12 acres of land north of Milton FL in the Chumuckla area. We will be building 3 houses, we all are very interested in Barndos and have been for years, BUT we don't know of any trustworthy companies in that area. How could we manage to still do business with you, or would you have any recommendations for us?
I'm a clean freak and this made me feel lots of anxiety. Aside from that the color scheme is not good for the eye. Like how the building looks on the outside.
Not good for your eye perhaps but clearly such things are subjective and it really is just your opinion. It was obviously decorated for the holidays and I think it looks much warmer and cozier than many plain beige/brown/taupe barndos.
