@@PoshcatsCamping That's very expensive. In the US, you're 70% of the way to something like the 2021 Wonder Rear Lounge which is going on twice the size.
Thank God All Mighty that someone is actually able to make a video presentation which is quiet, slow and very nicely presented and with a steady and nice camera. AND without audio that suffocates you. Now to the van. This is the type of van I would like to have, why? Because the whole concept is actually working in a very practical and at the same time with good design and materials. Wish you good times with the van. Thank you from Oslo.
Thank you so much Harald we really appreciate your comments. We are delighted with the van too and it really is compact luxury and comfort on wheels 😃🚐 take care 👍🏻 Trev n Sue
… although the music in the background drowns out the voice and for people like me with adhd it makes it impossible to hear the voice as all we hear is the music, which is really terrible but I’m interested in the van so I’ll watch without sound ~ where there’s a will there’s a way :)
I was a GCE student in the UK, in the late 70’s. All I remember, it rained every day. Your camper as they say in the UK, is lovely. In American campers , because of the rain, theY have a “rain windows“?. The bottom 1/4 of any window , is a separate window. It opens to the outside at a 45 degree angle. The water from the rain flows down and has an insect screen. I thought this is a great idea for The Always rainy Weather in the UK. The other feature is, the sky vent/exhaust fan is also rain proof. You can open it in the rain and has an Insect screen. Thank you
Some of the UK gets a lot of rain. The windows can be opened on our Campervan and the roof fan also has a rainproof cover on the top. Thank you for watching and for your comments 😃🚐 Trev n Sue
Hi Trev and Sue, well I really enjoyed looking at Smirf and looking inside him too. Well done Sue you did a grand tour, it’s absolutely lovely, love the upholstery, plenty of room for everything you need to take away with you. I loved how the tv had its own little cupboard and the cooker and cover is such a good idea. The bathroom is very roomy, good idea about the rail for hanging towels. I bet you are really excited for your upcoming tour to Scotland. Will look forward to following you both xx
Beautiful presentation, love your style of presentation quiet lovely , and informative, enjoy your journeys and Thankyou for allowing us to see your beautiful van would love to have one , in time take care and enjoy 💝
enjoyed that trev & sue what a bootiful van , a very well presented guided tour , i love the toilet area with the windows and also the kitchen top , but the winner is the u shaped lounge with the ledges to put your bits n bobs on , all in all , a lovely van , easier manoeuvrability & easier to clean! 👍😀 thanks for showing us around
Congratulations on your new camper van. It looks beautiful inside and out. The more you use it the more organized you will become and you’ll figure out what things you actually need with you and those you don’t. Have you ever thought about storing the extra bedding underneath one of the benches so that you can use the upper cabinets for other things like heavier clothes for your trip to Scotland. I would love to travel and go camping if I had a camper van like yours. We didn’t have a car strong enough to pull my parents pop up camper trailer when Dad asked if we would like it so we didn’t take it and my younger sister and her husband did and she left it with his family when they got divorced.
We have tried storing bedding in the lower lockers and it works well too. The rear overhead locker is huge so we are able to store lots of things in there 😃 Thanks for your support and comments 👍🏻😃🚐 Trev n Sue
Do they have a van like yours made with the steering wheel on the left side I’m from shingle town California in the USA , it would actually be interesting driving with the steering wheel on the opposite side it just may take a little while to get use to love it though beautiful Thankyou again for a lovely presentation
This van is built for the UK market in Yorkshire England. The company is www.Ihmotorhomes.com if you need more technical information. They are a first class company to work with 😃 Trev
So pleased for you both big up the van crew a home from home amazingly built to a very high standard the bath room is very nice loving all the windows one thing we like about ours is sitting down off an evening looking out at the views happy travels hope to see you on the road sometime all the best donny
Smurf is beautiful! Having both a Motorhome and now a Campervan, we can completely appreciate a lot of these features in here - its the perfect mix of the two. The body of a van so its less creaky and a bit slimmer but with the best bits of a coach build like the windows, window blinds and believe it or not, the hab door. Now I have had a sliding door, I am actually appreciating the motorhome hab door so much more, its quieter (never realised how noisy a van sliding door is until you are trying to get in or out of your vehicle quietly at night) and the bin is super handy (we use ours to store Cat bits in too :D). Really chuffed for you on this new van, look forward to seeing your Scotland trip!
Thanks so much guys. It means a lot to hear kind words from experienced full timers. We thought long and hard but in the end gave up the big spacious coach built for the luxury, comfort and compactness of the van conversion. Life is full of exciting change and this is certainly proving that case 😃🚐👍🏻 Trev
Can never understand why people with vans have to slide their doors noisily every time they close them. We have a van and we just close it slowly and nudge it shut, very little noise :-)
They make all their models with or without sliding doors or barn doors. This is the great thing about IH, you can have what you want in any colour you want, the van is built for you 😃🚐👍🏻 Trev
What a gorgeous conversion. So well and thoughtfully done. Interested to see what was specifically specified by you guys. Sounds like quite a lot. I love the door can’t see what’s not to like. Does look unusual but not in a bad way. I bet it’s lovely to drive in. We used to have a 7m MotorHome coach built. The width was the issue. AnywY love it Trev and Sue 😎🧙♂️. 👍
Thanks again. There was a long list of extras and that’s the beauty of IH. They build the vans on your spec. Nothing is mass produced so every unit is individual. It comes at a cost though but like I said to Sue, we only live once 😉🚐 Trev
Trevor and Sue this is a beautiful camper the interior looks so homely and cosy. The entrance door is not 'weird' or 'out of touch' either. It is unique and it is nice to see a van like yours and not the usual copy cat van designs seen so often on RU-vid. Enjoy your travels in your wonderful camper.
It’s a really nice van conversion. I can see why you fell for it. Being quieter than the motor home must be a real big plus. I am sure both of you will have many happy trips in Smurf.
Really enjoyed the van tour. Love the VW and the side door is great. No banging the door in the middle of the night and waking everyone up. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the look around Trev and Sue. You have a cracking van there and, I for one like the habitation door, I feel it sets it apart from the usual van conversion. I was impressed that you can fit all your bedding in the overhead locker. We have Duvalay mattresses which have the duvet attached and they take up quite a bit of storage space. Well worth it for sleeping comfort though, we wouldn't be without them. Have a great time in Scotland. I will look out for your vlogs.
Thanks Robert. We bought the Duvalay toppers with covers and separate duvets from a local source. It means I can roll everything up tightly and fill all the gaps in the one cupboard 😃🚐 Trev
We have the Duvalay’s also! (Disco Bed in US sells them) Now, all we need is to find a US outfitter who can get rid of the sliding door! Seriously, we love our campervan & use it frequently. Thanks for the tour of yours👍🏻💖
Thank you for your lovely comments. If you would like to see the tables and bed made up, here is a link ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QZCOr17k1u0.html
Great tour of a beautiful van & I really like the habitation door, the gas struts look a great job to steady it if there's a sudden gust of wind. Happy touring to you both & of coarse Oscar & Sophie too.
We have upgraded the gas strut on the hab door to 200 newtons as it was only 50 and not firm enough for us. Thanks for your lovely comments 😃🚐 Trev n Sue
Lovely van. Have you thought about putting all your bedding in vacuum packs and keeping a small battery powered hoover at hand? It would make it a lot easier and free up some more room
First of all, I love the color. That draws me in right away. I'm so impressed with all the storage inside this compact rig. I'm a big fan of storage. So much easier to organize. It's a decent sized bathroom area too. I do feel lazy when I think about setting up a bed every evening. But I think I would sacrifice the extra work just to have such a cool rig. The interior colors are appealing to me too. Would take a bit of getting used to going from larger to smaller. But I've no doubt you'll adjust. Off to Scotland. Oh yay! I can't wait to see those upcoming videos.
Great review of Smirf Trev and Sue, thanks for letting us look round your lovely new Campervan 😁👏 Very impressed with the storage lockers and that bathroom has to be the best in a van conversion ever! It’s amazing use of space and some really innovative ideas from IH. Can’t wait to see your Scotland trip in Smirf, we are currently on the NC500 in glorious sunshine so hope it stays for you 😁
The RV camper looks great...VW has put a lot of thought into this "spacious" camper. How much do they cost and are they available in the U.S.A.? Thank you both for the tour showing all of the amenities of your home away from home. God's Speed as your traveling.
Thanks so much. The van conversions are done by a small company in Yorkshire England and cost from £75,000 GBP. It may be the case that a similar company convert the VW Crafter van in the US 🙂 Trev
We do have fruit and vegetables on board and we can go for a week by making good use of the freezer too. So there is no need to entirely rely on tins and boxes although they play an important part to minimise storage needs. 😃🚐 Trev
In the UK alot of homes had small refrigerators unlike in the U.S they dont load their refrigerator with all the stuff we do & they do more fresh food items
Ever been to Europe? It is… different. I’ve been on a few work projects and found it fascinating. They walk to the bus/train/subway, and on the way Home pass all of these dozens of wonderful shops. You buy what you need for that night or weekend, it’s fresh, smaller quantities because you’re carrying the stuff home. And… It works! ❤ It different than here in the states where you drive to the store and load up the cart for a week or more. The shop owners will recommend cooking and sides, and once you adjust returning to the USA just seems wasteful. Might be slightly different in an RV, but wherever you go you will find wonderful local shops with amazing food. 😊
It took us many years of saving to get this van. We know how lucky we are and would welcome you back to follow our adventures. Thank you for your honest comments 🙂🚐 Trev
Lovely to meet you guys yesterday and see your van in the flesh. What a vehicle, inside and out. Lovely finish with those decals round the windows. Enjoy your travels in France. 😊
We are playing catch up on you tube, just watched this one it was great. Smurf is amazing great tour. The door is a game changer 😊Take care Sarah and Lee
Very well designed camper, no wasted space, and love the color. The only problem I see is the steering wheel is on the wrong side 😊. Nothing like that available in the USA. Enjoy your new home.
I like the way you have the screens and blinds together. You guys will find your new normal organization in no time I'm sure! Safe travels in Scotland!
This is the perfect van…❤️ the only thing I’d change is a bigger screen/tv but you’ve lots of room to add it where you currently have the tv … love the removal of the rear doors and adding a boot
Beautiful 'van. Always liked IH, very much a nautical quality, feel about them, premium product at a premium price but then you get what you pay for. Have great travels and make wonderful memories.
Thanks so much, yes we agree that you gets what you pay for. We hope to get value from our investment by using the van all year round and making plenty of memories 😃🚐 Trev n Sue
@@PoshcatsCamping Exactly, our latest van, a long wheel base Ford Nugget Plus, delayed again until September, cost more than my first flat! With three small children we often have to have two hotel rooms. We do make sure we use the 'van, at least twice a month for weekends and of course almost all the school holidays. It will have paid for itself within 3 to 4 years and we will still have the asset after that. I see so many leisure vehicles parked on drives nearly all year round. That's almost criminal!
Thank you, we do enjoy the driving comfort that the VW brings and the conversion has just about everything that’s needed all year round. Really appreciate your lovely comments 🚐💙 Trev n Sue
We downsized from a huge Chausson motor home to a Wildax Aurora Leisure XL, and have no regrets at all! We love our van and have come to realise just how much stuff we DONT need to keep in it lol. Hope you have many wonderful adventures in your van 👍
Thank you. Yes we have found that we can travel with less stuff and only take things we need. These things change depending on the trip or the time of year. Thanks for your comments and wishing you safe travels 😃🚐 Trev n Sue
I think I’ve watched thousands of videos on motor homes & panel van conversions over many years. That’s the best one I’ve seen. Looks amazing. Great design features. I absolutely love it. Great video.
Thanks so much, we are delighted with the VW Crafter and the IH Motorhomes design. It has exceeded our expectations and can’t wait to get touring 😃🚐👍🏻 Trev n Sue
Beautiful van , great video thanks for sharing. Making bed is a small price to pay when you consider the rattle free travel time . Once you get out of bed it only takes 5 mins to rebuild your lounge . You will also find in winter the van gets warm really quickly. Had mine 10 years love it ,I go motorhome show every year and there are no van conversions that beat IH. Brilliant choice Enjoy
Thanks so much. We are delighted with the IH and agree with you entirely. The new routine has now started to become the norm and the smooth, calm drive is the reward for the downsizing. Can’t wait to start longer tours and we will be out in the van all year round. 😃🚐 Trev
Thank you, we intend to use the van extensively all year round so we are taking steps to protect the furnishings from muddy dogs and boots 😃🚐 Trev n Sue
We reckon our VW t6 is a great compromise. Small enough for the tiniest of roads and with the swivel chairs and rear seat on rails more than enough space for when you are confined for the evening . Plus the bed arrangement . It takes seconds to convert from sitting to sleeping accommodation. The under sheet, duvet and , if necessary, top blanket, just roll up to stow behind the seat for travelling and unroll for sleeping.
The VW T6 vans are awesome. We have been trying to get hold of one for a weekend to do a trial to see if we can downsize. The other great thing is that it would tow a trailer for those longer tours when you need more gear. It’s all about choice though but Mrs Poshcat must have a private washroom and the T6 it a little tight for space in that department 😉 Safe travels 🚐👍🏻 Trev
Yes, I am getting the hang of it. The morning muddle is now part of the routine 🤣🚐👍🏻 Thanks guys for your positive support in advance of the van arriving, we loved seeing how you do things in your campervan, some great tips 🚐👍🏻 Trev
Thanks for the in depth interesting tour, nicely done. Im another person interested in the MPG. Im guessing its very good though. great motorhome, safe travels and take good care.
Very interesting guys. When I saw you had changed from your Swift which had so much space I wondered why. I can see what your about now. I particularly like the " no rattle" aspect. Let's see how you go! Good luck and happy travels!
@@PoshcatsCamping you are very welcome Trev I am new to the channel been enjoying watching your older videos and following the amazing adventures you and sue have had
