Memphis sure has changed since I visited it about 20 years ago. It was nice and green back then. Too much sand now. I will visit Nashville instead. Will be able to see the Grand Old Opry while I am there.
Seriously: This was an excellent video. Those wooden steps in the pyramids look scary. I bet you have not had to worry about sunstroke this winter up in Canada.
@@tedlawrence4189 Thank you so much! You are right i was honestly more worried about the weather outside the Pyramids because I filmed this during late May last year. Inside the Pyramids it was a bit cooler so I enjoyed it actually but yeah those stairs in the Red Pyramid were definitely not that sturdy haha. Enjoy Nashville heard only good things
Hello, thank you for sharing. This is exactly what I am trying to visit (minus the museum), but I am having difficulty finding a driver/guide willing to do it all in one day. Can it be done arriving in Giza at 8am and leaving Dahshur around 4pm as the last site? I will be visiting in January 2024.
Yes and in January it should work. You can do Giza in 3-4 hours if you are on a schedule and dashur just 25ish minutes south and much less busy. Dashur is not so long but Saqqara is fairly large so if you manage your time with the tombs you would have enough time. You can arrange drivers by calling companies from websites or while your in the city. If you don't like the planning yourself, viator would probably have tours of both Giza and Dashur during the same day
This video was a good one. What was the slope (degree °) of the shafts you were climbing in? Orientation is hard to pick up on video especially how narrow the passages are. Thanks for the content.
Thanks for watching! So for the Great Pyramid there is first a passageway going down at 26 degrees then the rest of the passageway was ascending at 26 degrees again leading to the Grand Gallery and the King's Chambers. Now for the other Pyramids from what I remember it's just a passageway going down 26 degrees then halls leading to the burial chambers. Narrow wise its probably 4 foot squared for every Pyramid I visited except for the Bent Pyramid, which was 3½ foot squared, with the hand rails and stairs you can just have two people pass each other going opposite directions
i am watching on my big screen tv, you have a very stabilize video, may i know what camera are you using, is it pixel phone, iphone , samsung. may i know what phone model. 😊
Was it hard to film??? I am going in the fall and keep hearing if you have a camera, microphone, or a tripod it's a huge hassle. I want to film but I'm trying to see what people have experienced recently. Glad you were able to make it work.
It was a little difficult at times, filming in the street is mostly fine but you can run into a person who can make up a rule that you can't film here. Also do not film any government buildings because the guards told me to delete the footage when I was filming talking to myself while walking past the building. For the egyptian museum they have this video pass you need to buy but the guy at the booth said it's okay you can film without paying for the ticket. With a guide I had virtually no problem filming except that inside the Pyramids they won't let you bring a camera so I just filmed with my phone. I've also heard bringing big camera setups (i.e drones) can be a problem even a fancy hotel can take your things. But don't let this prevent you from wanting to film, I had just a single handheld camera with a decently large sized tripod as well and the airport and places I stayed at had no problem with it. Lastly my time in the Cairo area had some of these small problems, but my exprience in Luxor and Aswan had none of these problems
@@tomgretzky okay great good to know! I'm gunna try and keep it minimal gear wise. Probably just my gopro, my dslr, and a gorilla pod. No drones no big tripod... and a small microphone not my big one. Appreciate your insight!
@@Neonravekid nice setup and yeah you'd have no problem with that at security in my opinion. I think some youtubers had a problem with Egypt because they'd bring drones hard drives and a crew and most people running the sites would need to paid off if you have a crew
@@tomgretzky thank you :) it feels so minimal to a crew like you mentioned but sometimes it's better!! Yeah I agree.... that makes sense. When it's more of a production.
I don't think I mentioned it only labeled in the beginning. I went May 24th 2022 so in the Cairo area the peak temperature averaged around 34 degrees from what I remembered
@@tomgretzky i am planning to travel Dec 2023...i want to do GIZA PYRAMIDS MEMPHIS CITY DAHSHUR AND SAQQARA PYRAMIDS in one day..your viator link is not working...so please let me know the tour company you used.
No matter what you read online there is no official rules the people running each site will decide when they see you even if the signs say otherwise. My camera is a casual one just a handheld so they did not mind at the sites but there is a ticket for being able to film for the sites and I am not sure if they will charge you if you bring a large camera. And they don't allow cameras inside the Giza Pyramids
