Pretty impressive that they managed that almost completely on their own honestly, their country is more developed than half of Africa with Billions in foreign aid.
They have sent North Korean soldiers to various conflicts. Vietnam, 1973 Yom Kippur War, Ethiopian Civil War, Angolan Civil War, Ugandan Bush War, 1982 Ethiopian-Somali Border War, Sri Lankan Civil War, United States invasion of Panama 1989, Yemeni Civil War (1994), First Libyan Civil War, Yemeni civil war (2014-present).
Theoretically though Korea is still at war; 1953 was an armistice and North Korea since then has been conducting hostile actions frequently to terrorize South Korea. Not limiting to the direct actions, terrorisms were also happening as well. As mentioned North Korea has been exporting their soldiers to worldwide conflicts as a mercenaries as well. Obviously those political generals gained most of their medals by their loyalties to Kim family rather than combats haha.

@@simondr70 nah I think it's absolutely intentional, this whole thing has music that feels like a half disco half jazz thing and I'm loving it. The North Koreans have made their dictatorship funky
This is actually very impressive. The coordination of the camera crew and all the people involve in the parade are all synchronized. Not a single misstep. All coordinated. They know how to do a proper parade!
@@cozmoknotOh give it a damn break. They have money for nukes but not enough for food. North Korea could fix it’s self easily unlike most other countries
@@deezle3583 you think north korea cares about air superiority? of course they know their jets can't compete. thats why they're all in missiles and air defense.
Politics and ideologies aside, it is a fact that they have greatly improved their uniforms and equipment when compared to the parades of past years. The high quality of the production, the new music, the improved cammo, the new closed order, the neon light-clad paratroopers, its undoubtedly an amazing ceremony.
Eh, if you know anything about normal militaries you'd know a lot of the guns and equipment they showed was fake...also, soldiers wearing capes??? Anyways, the troops with the "better" gear that looks modern are their "special forces", which are pretty small...their special forces are essentially only as good as the average soldier in the West, they are NOT special force quality, but since the average NK soldier is not trained well apart from marching, well...that's why they call them "special".
@@tevarinvagabond1192 The North Korean Special Forces are NOT comparable to a regular western soldier, we’ve already seen the capacity of destruction they’re capable of inflicting even against overwhelming odds and disadvantages
@@Faith_Through_Struggle You must not know guns, lmao... it's not that they're all fake, but that most of them are ill made and wouldn't work on the battlefield. The main weapon you see the troops holding is a North Korean version of the AK-74 weapons platform, but instead of normal magazines like most countries use for their AKs, North Korea uses 100 round cyclical drum magazines...anyone that knows anything about guns knows that drum magazines are super unreliable, especially the NK type as it has much more machine part complexity due to its cylinder shape...more machine part complexity means more can go wrong, which is why Russia got rid of their drum magazines long ago, as well as all other modern armies. So anyways, don't try to act like you know something when you clearly don't
@@amierasycap4870 It is their newest SPA which took a lot of its design from our K9 however the gun is smaller as K9 is 155mm and that one is 152mm. Other info is still veiled tho. However we think they do not have auto loader yet
If you notice in the winter training segments it’s either powder fake snow or real snow where the soldiers are noticeably red indicating only a short amount of exposure to the elements. Make me wonder. Hmmm
@@GunslingerLv Alot of this equipment is most likely ceremonial, I don't think they'd invest such amounts into parades, not even in the US military does that.
Landing from two sides, against each other while gliding carries very high risks, and the angles in the gliding approach seem very exact, too exact in my opinion from the film sequences
Damn.. they actually upgraded their combat uniforms, their weapons, they are now sporting modern tactical helmets and vests albeit 20 years later that other nations... AND the way they march in parades.. i kinda miss the nostalgic style. Either way... WORLD WAR 3 is gonna be interesting!😅
How much of it is real though/off good quality? Take the new tanks they have. No matter how you look at them something is severely off about them. What? Most likely that they are well made “fakes” with welded on sheet metal/wood and fake components. Russia has given us a perfect example of what happens to a nations military when it is neglected and badly managed so you think North Korea is better or worse? Any fool can dress men up to “look” like modern soldiers but can they perform as such? Or is it all just an elaborate show.
The Russian invasion of Ukraine showed the world what a true 21st century conventional war looks like and it taught me the following things. 1. Artillery is the king of battle and shell stockpiles can deplete almost instantly. 2. Trench warfare is not a thing of the past and will always be a thing. 3. Numerical advantage don't mean shit if your army doesn't know how to fight. 4. You might as well surrender if you don't perform reconnaissance. 5. Tanks without infantry support are just soon-to-be coffins. 6. Drones are now essential on the battlefield. 7. Politics destroys armies. This is what I learned and it has made me feel that North Korea will simply not stand a chance against South Korea or NATO. Their planned economy is too weak to sustain any form of constant production. They lack a pool of skilled workers to produce high-end military equipment. Their military has little to no experience in modern combat (excluding foreign advisors). The majority of their military equipment dates back to the 60's, having no match against modern military equipment. Some people will automatically tell me that I have no clue of this until they fight a war, which is absolutely correct. But if the Russian Federation, a country who was widely considered to possess a terrifying military power, is struggling this much against Ukraine for over a year now, how the fuck can North Korea even fare against the South or NATO? Impressive parade, I'll admit it. But your equipment and system is a scam beyond absurd. It will never stand a chance against anything, not even itself.
trench warfare is still a thing, if you don’t know how to rage war. the russian military is incredibly poor at just about everything. but if you look at conflicts by actually skilled militaries, such as the US in iraq, you don’t get to trench warfare because you never give them the enemy a chance to entrench. you hit fast, hard, and with the element of surprise. north korea’s complete lack of anything beyond hordes of conscripts and some old 1960’s tech would make it an elaborate training exercise with the majority of casualties most likely resulting from friendly fire incidents or the occupation
