How insensitive for her own father to put out that point, instead of calming his daughter. No wonder she got fed up. The father, the ex, the stepmother and her daughter all contributed to her earlier misery, but no more. From hereon, she took control of her life and everything that goes with it.
After reading many comments, I found I was not the only one who wants a strong female character in dramas. What I am looking for is a female lead who is sweet with a calm demeanor, but will never subject herself to feeling low and defeated all the time. She has to be strong to meet the challenges with dignity, honor and finesse while maintaining her feminine values and virtue. There are a few I have already seen and it is quite refreshing to see.
Every person deserves to awaken their bolder self and know their worth... This drama taught me a lot and I will never forget the moment Wei said " Nobody can ruin me"... I wish every person embrace their self worth and lead a satisfying life... 🎉❤
What she said and did confirms her determination to put everything right. She experienced all the "down and low" period of her life at the beginning, from the conniving mother/daughter to her ex and her "blind" father. Now, she is ready to fight head on and get back what she rightfully deserves. Yumo is the silent protector but never pushed her so he worked behind the scene. As pitiful the sister's end came to be, I believe she got her just dessert.

More or less when the mistress started to become like a wife he sought another mistress. His career is on the downward spiral so think his family money is kinda keeping him afloat. His now wife assumes he is cheating with his ex wife but learns quickly that no she isn't and doesn't want him. Even though he is trying to worm his way back in. For the other woman I feel eventually her husband is gonna find out that's not even his kid, since he has the inferity issues.. probably from all the outside pleasures he seeks. Or karma

Yuck, yuck and yuck. Now she's pregnant, presumably from the ex bf which will be passed on as the child of sister's husband....wow, what a mess.
I like the way the wife planted that doubt on her step sister and planned the scenarios for the husband not to see mistress😂😂😂😂 perfect timing when Cici also sent the "kiss" clip to mistress.
mengs mother inserts herself into the family by getting pregnant with an illegitimate child and kills weis mother with sorrow and now blames wie for everything? what? does not compute. she put herself there due to greed and selfishness. now she is suffering. wow
It's a darker part of the mind... a type of psychotic nature. She wanted a man who was wealthy even knowing he had a wife and child.. she sought to remove his wife so she could take that place and then hoped to remove his other child so her own daughter would be the sole air and her born out of wedlock would let be as frowned upon then since she would be the only heir... more than likely they did something to cause her miscarriage back then and maybe the man himself can't get anyone pregnant now since yes he may work but he devulges in pleasures... he doesn't seem to want a kid anyhow or not yet at least.

This is an interesting plot because it showed growth from the FL after being lied to by the husband. Once she got hold of herself together, she's unstoppable to put things to right and move on with her life. It is something that women who have been treated poorly and used should learn from. Of course, you need intellect and support to do thus, but nevertheless, it is never to late to get out of the grime and refresh yourself to a new you.
Use your step sister to disable your ex husband, her new man that is freaking genius and the fact that she's so cool, calm and collective. It's almost scary.
Actually, she did not use her step sister. The step sister started all this. She only responded to the situation presented before her as a means to right the wrong against herself. If ths step sister did not flaunt and tested her to no end, she probably would not wake up from being cheated and betrayed. Her response to all this is just as it should be.
I suppose that after what she has experienced, she can only do this...nothing and no one can stop her. From the death of her mother to now, many people betrayed her one way or the other, so this time she's getting her life back in order and also taking back what she rightfully deserves.
The silent ones are the most dangerous ones. I often have childhood flashbacks of a certain incident. It wasn't something that changed my life or anything in a drastic way but it often remind me how a person can be so subtle. Just when you think everything's okay swiftly like a rattlesnake the attack happens. And you realize that that person was really angry. 🥴

If someone you truly love turns out to have been cheating on you for 5 years, it is fair that the wife does something to repair the damage done, since he continued to lie to her without blinking an eye. The best part of her well orchestrated revenge is that his mistress is carrying another man's child. The mother/daughter comeuppance came, served on a cold platter.
The direction of the storyline was interesting and intriguing. It's good to see a woman fight for her self-worth and gain justice and do it in a very clever, meticulous way. I'm glad she has a happy ending with a man worthy of her by her side.Well done!! Enjoyed it very much ✨
The twist when she was able to analyze and reverse the effects of his emotional blackmail on her to win her back in the past is so awesome. It showed what she can do once she got out of the mire of being subdued and quiet in the past, despite her obvious intelligence.

So she went back and managed to close the soda bottle. The future is now changed. Damn. I love every thing about it. For anyone saying it has loose ends, it doesnt cause the first encounter between Wei and Chu Yumo has changed further leading to a new future without the cheating husband, the sister's betrayal and the child. I wish i would have seen a part two of the drama
If there is no part 2 it's OK but there should have been a little bit more of her interaction with Yumo after all the things she went through and to confirm all of Yumo's feeling for her without hiding anymore.
It really is a great scripted drama. But there was a room for a lot of details actually. But loved it never the less. Edit: but one thing I'm still confused. Does he and she knows they went back or not?

I'm surprised to be saying this, but this was a very good production all around. Good acting, good direction, (surprisingly) good script, and they kept the tropes to a minimum. For like the 2nd time ever in my c-drama watching 'career' I think this one should have a season 2 so that we could actually see the relationship play out with a happy(ier) ending. I'd definitely recommend this one.
more chinese mini series dramas like this please! where the FL is not a pushover, has a personality and can stand up for herself and won't just accept/take the bullshit happening just because the storyline is poorly written. More dramas like this that make me want to root for the FL ♥

I loved the editing and the acting and the lines... I even loved the villains! Heroine goes without saying. She's just right ... not too sweet, not too hard, not too perfect.

Vengeance with a capital V. Intrigue, betrayal, secrets, back stabbing, GREAT ENDING. I like serious yet humerous romance. This was serious only but worth watching.

Lately, you might notice that there are re-runs of dramas from years ago, where the women are always depicted as weak and always ending up forgiving the cheating spouse. That's alright, BUT, there is a limited reason why that should happen. What they are depicting in stories from before is how sacrificing women should be to maintain a balanced and peaceful family life by taking back the cheating husband after he regrets cheating, while the husband enjoyed the company of another woman or women in the past. Is it really as easy as that, while on the background hiding the misery of the wife? I wonder how they would feel even being touched again by the cheating husband.

It is commented all the time. The most important thing to remember is that cheaters are always scared of their own shadow. Someone might be lurking behind. Also, I wonder if anyone can still sleep with a cheater. Yuck.
I like this storyline. But so much details were skipped that it leaves me wondering. What happened to Mengmeng and the illegitimate child? What happened to the child’s biological father? Did Mengmeng ever see the pictures of her husband and the bartender? Did the father divorced the 2nd wife and gotten rid of Mengmeng who was also a bastard child? I’m confused. I love strong woman like this female lead. “I DONT HATE YOU, BUT I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU”. That’s how I feel about my ex. !!

I have no idea why did both of those trashy men ( female lead's father and ex husband) who only think about their lower half managed to get a good ending despite all of what they did while the stepsister got no better ending than getting played as a pawn again i mean she deserved a better ending more than any of those two as she is a victim of the adults a mother that brainwashed from a young age and father that couldnt care less about her and she had a huge chance to get her happy ending with that other guy cuz he seemed to truly love her yet it seemed like the directors just wanted to throw her off the cliff

There is only so much that an intelligent woman, who has betrayed by so many, can take. At some point, she's got to get hold of her self respect and value, before someone or several someones crush her to a pulp. But, boy, what she did and how she did it to control her life is truly amazing. The calmness is scary.
Geez and what's with Mrs Chu in trying to blackmail and manipulate everyone around her that she's using for her dirty work? Nice movie. Worth it. I wish some ladies will learn from this and learn to use their head when they find themselves in this circumstance. Not crying or planning to commit suicide but to fight and bounce back.
Mrs. Chu's story is a sideline to highlight how a woman who kept her wits about her responded to someone as manipulative as Mrs. Chu. The that FL didn't butt an eyelas to show fear or being threatened is proof, she has really taken hold of the situation. Of course, there is Chu Yumo behind, but the fact that FL caught on means that her moves were all her own. In the same token, the stepmother lost all her playing cards without even noticing it, all in one sweep.😄😄😄😄😄 and her darling "sister" just doesn't matter anymore. She got what she deserved.

It seems that the husband's family has become comfortable taking her things without any complaints from her and her husband tolerated it without shame. I don't know about culture in thus area, but it seems so disrespectful to do that. If it is not given, no one has the right to take it without permission, no matter how harmonious the relationship is. It is called respect for one's property.
The most ridiculous drama ever! I didn't mind watching it but at times it went beyond stupid. There must have been scenes missing because the movie made absolutely no sense. She is walking and then she is another time living another person's life and the guy actually knows she isn't the right one and keeps telling her she went across time. How da heck he know!? The sister's boyfriend comes back and two days later she knows she is pregnant and the sister knows it's not her husband's. That is why I am convinced there was scenes missing because the timeline makes no sense at all. The dad shaking in the bed because he isn't able to see the doctor and then minutes later he is able to sit up and hold a conversation and not sick anymore apparently. I mean the acting wasn't horrible but the script had so many holes in it. Why did she go into the other girl's dimension instead of fixing her own world? Yeah, no this show was stupid. But I watched it, so what does that say about me?
Good movie but very confusing. The 2nd half of movie didn't make sense. I only could understand her 25 yr old self returning to her but what happened when she was drunk at her home after acquiring the most shares and becoming ceo? Which version of weiwei comes inside her? 25 yr old but from another universe? Who didn't know how to play golf and was cheerful? Who was she? Where she went? Chu yumo is some time and space traveller that he knew each version of her? Very confusing so i would say the story and concept and pace was good but execution was bad.
Yes! I’ve already saw this. It’s okay. It’s not as good as I thought it would be. I wanted her to be more dominant and get her revenge but she was weak in that area. Disappointed. I give it 6 stars! out of 10. 😮
Has the makings to be a great series if it goes back to the drawing board. Some shows aren't meant to be short.....cause confusion, for many when watching. Just my thought.
