AGREED. He finally has his chance now & if this first Christmas speech is anything to go by, I think Charles WILL be a good King (not that I am a royalist). I hope he gets to stretch his wings now he is no longer confined.
He was made for that moment.. Britain, I know its been tough but your cousins are praying for you, your new king and your prosperity in these tough times. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year. From the lone star state with love..
We are thrilled to be shown during the King's speech when he emphasizes the work of UK charities. It is an honour for the CBAH family (volunteers) to receive this recognition. We are a fully volunteer-based organization with no paid staff, and our mission since the beginning of 2016 has been to make a positive impact. Thanks to BBC for highlighting our work. Together we are making a difference, and we will keep doing so.
Yes very unusual to not see Queen Elizabeth after so long as I always watched her Christmas message every year,as it was a tradition, especially since I live in Canada. Charles will be a good King and he will honour his mother and continue the traditions of England and the Commonwealth. Merry Christmas to everyone.
So weird indeed not to see my beloved Queen! She was always so comforting ! I miss her deeply and feel so sad this year ! Charles is doing his best but he will never elicit that warmth and let’s face it total adulation our Queen did! Giod bless you all

“honour his mother and continue the traditions of England” If you look at the numbers you will see that following his mother will lead to the abolishment of England via immigration.
Matthew 28 verse 18 , Jesus Claims He IS GOD , AFTER RISING FROM THE DEAD , WHEN HE SAYS ( ALL POWER IN HEAVEN AND ON EARTH HAS BEEN GIVEN UNTO ME !!!...You Can't Have ALL POWER IN HEAVEN AND EARTH , AND NOT BE GOD !!!!!....Because Jesus CANNOT LIE , HE MUST BE GOD !!!!!!!..
Christmas isnt about the things you receive but the hearts you can touch and the family you spend time. Good tidings to all in europe, sincerely an american
As someone who works in social care, I respect you stating it is a skilled job.. we see people come and go.. we are paid fairly well in comparison for what we do yet they come and go because they do not have the humility or the care that is part and parcel of our job. We are not classed as skilled, yet have to have various degrees of diploma or nvq to fulfill. Even that doesn't mean we are job savvy.. it takes a special breed to work in social care I'm honoured to be amongst the best. Thank you for your acknowledgment ❤️
@malastarot9310 , You speak the truth. I was fortunate to work alongside some Social workers and I quickly realized how special they were to do their work with great compassion and kindness. Blessings to you and all who serve others with grace and love.
What a lovely first speech given by our King Charles. Merry Xmas to you and your family. I know it will be a sad time for you and your family. God bless you all
From the Eastern USA: Very pleased to see and hear the new king deliver such a poignant message. God Bless the British people as this will be their first Christmas in memory without their beloved Queen. His majesty is a well spoken candid man indeed. Merry Christmas to all
Such Moving Words On This Greatest of All Days !!...His Time To Reign Has Come , And Today He Certainly Captured The Moment !!...As The Queen Smiles On Her Son From Heaven , May God Save The King 🤴 !!!...
Your Majesty, Your message contains warmth, compassion and the true state of affairs globally. Your words were delivered with the true voice of a great leader. Long live the king.
If we could all find it in our hearts to give even just a little bit, so much of that "Light" would shine. Thank you, Your Majesty, & God save the King. Merry Christmas to all!
Very touching. Thank you King Charles for these heart felt sentiments. Merry Christmas to you and yours and may the coming year be one filled with health, happiness and love. God bless.
*HOW COULD YOU EVEN ASK THE POOR TO PAY FOR THE SUPER RICH!* Remember when the Royals -Queen- tried to use state poverty fund to heat Buckingham Palace -- Ministers were asked if money earmarked for schools, hospitals and low-income families could be used to meet soaring fuel bills. ByRobert Verkaik -- September 2010
I saw him on the TV of a restaurant and I was really suprised!!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 God Bless our gracious King Charles III Merry Christmas to you your Majesty And May the LORD save the Queen Elizabeth II the Mother of the Free!!!!!🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🏰👑❤❤❤❤❤
Very touching speech from King Charles iii! He kept his speech with sorrow after losing his beloved mum! Not only honoring his mum, he embraced all faiths from Judaism, Islam, etc. thank you King Charles for not only giving thanks to the health professionals like the NHS who helped us through the pandemic. I wish nothing but all the best to his majesty King Charles iii! God save the king! 🇺🇸🇬🇧
Very heartfelt and wonderful Christmas speech by King Charles. Touching on emergency service staff and volunteers who work tirelessly to help others and protect the nation I think was a much needed and appreciated part of his speech. Thanking those who sent messages of sympathy and love to them and the entire royal family at the loss of his beloved mother was also very thoughtful of him, thanks have been given before, but it was sweet he touched on that in his Christmas speech, touching also on his Son & DIL William and Catherine and their work, which they along with the working Royals do without asking for anything, without asking for media to praise them. They all do this because they were born or married into the Royal family and for those that are working Royals, they do it without complaint, showing care, concern for so many, along with showing it is okay to be a Royal and have a good time with the public and each other, after all they are human. I was very impressed with his first speech and his soft spoken voice. Wishing King Charles and Queen Camilla the respect they deserve from the public and allowing them to do their job in peace along with other working royals.
You must be brave for our future generations are looking with HOPE upon the United Kingdom, as well as all the world's nations to have a PEACEFUL home on planet earth to live together on. Thank you for all your great service ... With Love, Michele Dawn Sanderson
“… the power of light overcoming darkness…so whatever faith you have or if you have none…and with the humility of service to others..gives hope for the future…” speaking as an American, King Charles seemingly appearing be very genuine throughout; I was in fact very touched by it
I’m American Anglican (Episcopalian, but in culture, liturgy, and hierarchy, we ultimately take our cues from the C of E), and I would say that multiculturalism and interfaith dialogue is a pretty big tenet of our values. I remember our church always had pamphlets saying that all were welcome to worship in our church. My Reverend would always talk about outreach and volunteer work to help Syrian refugees, etc. I’m glad I grew up in it, out of all the Christian denominations, as it really focuses on helping with open arms rather than hating, or cloaking hate in the language of love.
King Charles had a tough act to follow, but he did quite well. He spoke from the heart, and expressed thankfulness to his Mum and all the folks who have made the choice to serve as a career. He mentioned those struggling financially. I’m very pleased with Charles, but I sure miss the Queen. What an incredible woman she was!!! This is a difficult Christmas for the Royal Family as their hearts are healing one day at a time. I have no doubt that Charles will be an excellent King for however long he chooses to serve. God save the King. ♥️🎄
@@essessessesq King Charles is a decent man and does more than people know about, he not long ago gave all his profits ( I think it was £250k) back to us to help with what’s going on right now. I’m sure we can all say our ancestors did something in the past, im not sure why Americans get so hung up on the ancestry thing tbh. Like when an American says I’m American with Irish lineage as 200yrs ago I had a Irish uncle lol. Biden says his American Irish when in fact he is just American, he wasn’t born in Ireland, he uses it to try and bulldoze his way into our politics on more than one occasion. Strange man, saying that though we’ve got some odd ones too lol 😂
The entire broadcast was actually three minutes longer. This version left out "God Save the King" in the beginning and "O Little Town of Bethlehem" at the end.
Thought the King did a great job with this speech. Celebrating those who provide to a public services to those in need was a great thing. The King showed the best in others and not bashing them
THANK YOU KING CHARLES FR YOUR GRACIOUS SPEECH I DO HOPE 2023 WI BE A BETTER YEAR FOR ALL I WISH THE ROYAL FAMILY ONLY. PEACE AND LOVE FOR OUR FUTURE THANK YOU KING CHARLES 🏴🇬🇧🇬🇧🏴🏴🇬🇧🇬🇧🏴🏴
I just watched it. I am an American. Retired military. 3 trips to Iraq. He shows more leadership skills and humbleness than that dementia man we here in the USA are stuck with. He misses his mom/mum. Many of us do. He hit a home run. God save the King.
@@johncole2469 You had to bring in politics. “The dementia man.” Can you not let it go for one day. You undermined his whole speech with that comment. Did he mention their PM? No, he talked about people helping people. He wasn’t being divisive. One day a year, is that asking too much to set aside politics and just let our lights shine.
I've always been a fan of King Charles. He was so far out in front of the rest of the world re: the fragility of our environment. His book on the whimsical and sustainable gardens at Highgrove is among my very favorites. The British are lucky in his thoughtful earnestness.
Praying for England. God loves you all. May God's light destroy the evil. May the children of the most High be blessed with love, provision and protection.
Very pleased to hear His Majesty the King this Christmas, and glad he is continuing his mother's tradition of the Christmas address and that he is speaking about Christ and the meaning of the season. God save King Charles!
I feel for King Charles . In the past couple years he has effectively lost his son , his grandchildren from that son, his brother Andrew and his parents . And then took on the throne. That is a lot for 1 person to bare. May god bless him and keep him in his grasp
At George’s chapel is not the castle that is where the speech was done. Oh and who’s fault is it that people are cold or hungry at Christmas? Not his, maybe they should do something for themselves like others do instead of expecting others to support them like work.
