China on Sunday held a military parade at Zhurihe training base in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, to celebrate the 90th birthday of the People's Liberation Army (PLA). This is the first military parade ever held to mark the founding of the PLA. Twelve-thousand troops, more than 100 aircraft and 500 pieces of military equipment were on show at Zhurihe for the parade. Forty percent of these armaments were on public display for the first time.

There are idiots on both sides who want war, but the vast majority know that war is never worth it, especially not for an unhabitable crappy piece of land (Doklam Plateau). As two former colonised countries, armies also exist to ward off foreign invasion/aggression and to defend borders. Just like when India invaded China in 62 under Nehru's short sighted and catastrophic forward policy and China was forced to push India back home and then China went back unilaterally after teaching India never to try that again..
