The point is that she isn't some no-name senator or representative working hard to get things passed. She is literally #2 in the country. Don't try to twist the facts. If she wanted something, she could do something. Even the #1 is obviously ok with how things are, and she's his #1 supporter. We will have more of the same if she's elected. And people will vote for her based on two things: she's a woman and she's a "woman of color".

That's not what a Moderator in this kind of panel is there for. It is their job to create an atmosphere where people feel comfortable to give their honest opinions (however stupid). That's the only way campaigns etc can find out what needs to be done to persuade voters. If they were fact checked everytime they spoke, they wouldn't speak anymore. It's not a politics lecture they are attending.
In this instance, that wasn't what the moderator was there for. Kudos to 'Eddie', though. He did yeoman's work bringing facts to the people at that table.
The oldest man is the smartest and wisest. Kudos to the younger lady as well. Doing your homework means, look at their past, as a younger person, as well as through out their journey to today. LISTEN to what they say! Hate brings hate and happiness brings happiness. Also to think about, when a President first comes on board, they inherit the past President’s at least 1-2 years of good or bad issues/problems that either they need to clean up or progress. Someone in that panel of undecided people mentioned healthcare & said about that & other issues that "They're not giving any solutions to any of the problems." That's not true though. Kamala SAID that Trump attacks The Affordable Care Act & basically wants to take it away with NO plan to replace it. She's right. She also basically said 'Do you remember when insurance companies could deny health coverage to you if you had a pre-existing condition?' Well, I REMEMBER those days. As I recall, around 40,000 Americans were dying every year whose lives *could've* been saved, but the wealthy Republicans preferred to Let them die than to pay their fair share of taxes to help people have Affordable healthcare! ANYONE who is Not very financially well-to-do or wealthy needs to realize that the Republican party looks *down* on you & *Literally* doesn't care if you live or die.

Where did CBS get this uninformed panel? CBS need to do better. I found the panel to be extremely ignorant of both politicians personal history, political background, and current positions. The moderator Nikole Killion, like most of today’s press, try to stay neutral and as such, she wasted a teachable moment. For example, she could have fact checked the panel’s answers in real time, and by doing so, the panel and other uninformed members of the public could have learned some interesting truths. It seems to me that since CBS knew weeks in advance that the debate was going to happen on September 10, 2024, they had enough time to assemble an informed panel that could participate in an informed discussion. It just show that CBS is more interested in ratings or filling the time slot and less interested in informing the citizenry.
