Fullerton SWAT barricade 

FULLERTON: On 07-25-23 at approximately 0630 hours, Fullerton PD responded to a disturbance involving a male individual in the 600 block of S Raymond Ave. Officers arrived on scene and determined a vandalism had occurred. The suspect fled from officers into a closed business by breaking in. There were reports of the suspect being armed with a handgun. Officers could hear the suspect breaking things inside the business. Due to the circumstances presented at the scene, North County SWAT was activated. SWAT arrived and negotiations began which were unsuccessful. Pepper balls were deployed into the building which ultimately forced the suspect to exit the building and surrender. The suspect was treated by paramedics and declined transport. The suspect was taken into custody and the investigation continues.
