You know, the ability to generate sound would be a pretty useful alchemist ability, as long as you were immune to your own sounds so that you don't hurt yourself with your ability :P

Wow, I gotta admire your diction for this song. It's such a fast song but your diction was pretty flawless in spite of the ridiculous speed of the lyrics.

OMG! I have heard a lot of english covers for anime songs, but this just blows them all away! The english words fit so perfectly, you have an amazing voice, and you never slurred a single time through those fast lyrics! BEST. COVER. EVER.
I love how Caleb's translations for this song go more in depth with what Ed was feeling in the beginning of the show. Makes his character seem more personable in some ways
maybe its because i am a younger brother but i think he could have done better with verse 2. in the other translations ive seen its ed directly talking to his brother and wondering why he stays loyal after all hes put them through. In caleb's version its about how ed puts so much on himself and how much pain hes in because of it.
I was kind of hoping it was a cover based on geekyfandubs' lyrics. My disappointment was replaced with being impressed by your lyrics as well, very well done!

That's actually how I learned of Caleb too! So when I came from the brilliantly hilarious kind of song that that was to find all of the Metal, anime/game soundtrack, Disney, etc. song covers that he did, I was kind of quite surprised, but pleasantly so.😻💖 And now I'm completely addicted to Calebs songs and covers! And Caleb himself is awesome! Wow this cover is probably my favorite English one yet! There are so many great covers of this song out there, but I feel like I hear the right pitch, power, and sense of desperate searching in your performance/translation of the lyrics that was in the original. Also, the acoustics behind you is perfect! And yes, this has got to be one of the hardest songs to cover. You did awesome on that high pitch and frantic pace :)

I've watched a bunch of these anime intro covers now and you really have a way with words and flow and of course your voice is a true gift (not to undermine any effort it took to get to that vocal level, but I could practice all I want and wouldn't ever have that amazing of a voice). What I liked about the original song was that the rap didn't sound like most of the rap I've heard before(which sounds terrible), it sounds more like very fast singing. Not everyone is able to do that, and I'm glad you were able to.

I've always loved singing, always been good at it too. But depression and lack of self-confidence and self-esteem never pushed me to thrive and improve it. That changes today, my next singing goal is to be able to sing this. Thanks for the inspiration Caleb, you rock!

damn, "the rest of our short lives" kinda hits different, y'know? like, i feel like sometimes people forget that Ed and Al are still KIDS. So i dunno if that line means "our lives so far have been short", or, "we don't have that much longer to live", but both interpretations really fuck me up
