There's this esoteric card game that my extended family plays at get-togethers. There's a game called Trickster Cards which is the only game that allows the rules to be tweaked in order to closely approximate our ruleset. This game is native to windows, and also can be played in a browser. The app is not available for any other OS. I plan to use Fully Kiosk in order to render the tablets I'm going to buy and distribute to the family into a single-use device. Until this video, I thought this would be impossible. The licenses aren't even that expensive and aren't subscription based. I'm pretty excited right now.
I'm new to Home Automations and am really getting my teeth into it. My 11 year old son had an old Harrier Tab which he no longer uses so I'm going to set this up as a wall panel in the kitchen so my wife can control the lights and also view CCTV from the cameras around the outside of our home.
Hey I’m a student that has just recently started diving into home assistant. I recently used an old tablet as a way to control lights and view streams from a doorbell press. Fully kiosk would be one of the final pieces in the puzzle to get the tablet working seamlessly.
Hey Gio, thanks for another great video! We just bought a new house, which I'm planning to make a real smart home with my Home Assistant server and your video's. I'm definitely going to install a tablet to control the house. So a Fully Kiosk license would be great.
@@SmartHomeMakers I also enjoyed the Debloat and Google Play store part. It scared me a bit to see that the browser opened up ports on the device, and glad that you informed about it so that I know that I need to put the device on the correct VLAN.

I realize this is an aged video, but I am running into problems where Fully Browser is adding HTTPS://x.x.x.x and I only want it to be HTTP, not HTTPS, but it keeps defaulting. Is there some other toggle I need to turn on/off within fully browser to
So the Full Kiosk Browser just uses a URL? I am looking to set up a couple Wall mounted tablets in the venue I work at, that will be running bitfocus Companion (which has its own url dashboard and is mainly URL/browser based).
@@SmartHomeMakers that's pretty neat, I'm gonna get a fire tablet first and do some testing, but my main issue is finding a secure wall mount for the tablet (I can only find mounts for Samsung or Apple), any recommendations?

Good video. I've had this running on the side of my fridge for over 6 months now. I'm really torn about paying for it though, and it's not even Fully's fault. Lovelace can not maintain connection to my HA camera feeds, even my new UniFi Protect one that only shows one frame per second (my choice to try to fix the issue). After about 15 minutes on any browser, any device, they just loose the feed. I'm switching back to my wife's iPad with the Apple Home app. Only issue there is no motion/sound detection. My goal is to turn an ESP32 into a BT keyboard and unlock the iPad that way when a motion sensor goes of, or a soldered motion detector triggers it, but I've had issues trying to get PIR working on ESPHome (probably a me problem).
I'm thinking of trying to get my front door pop up when the doorbell rings! I noticed that camera feeds are not great, what about with the unifi protect url?

Hey man, thank you for all your great video's. I'm thinking about building a wall mount dashboard for a while now. In just a noob in this, so it takes me some time. The kiosk browser would help me a lot. I'm thinking to use a samsung A7 tablet for it.

Got this message "Repository removed from HACS" and when I look in HACS it says "This integration is now part of the Home Assistant core, and this repository is now archived." Do you know if I need to do anything to get this working again if I remove it from HACS?/Peter
Hi, I follow along created a new user and password for the tablet the tablet displays to enter the username and password but all I get on the tablet is the home assistant logo it never logs in .
I have a tablet in my daughter's room. I really need her to get interested in the home automation world. Having a watermark in her screens doesn't help... 😅
