Great content. I am a 3L in a fully online accredited program. I would say if a person is able to go the traditional route, then yes, do that. But for the people (like myself) who were unable to go traditional due to health reasons, financial, or some tragedy, then online is an option. It is definitely not the best option. I would have much rather been a traditional law student, but that was not an option for me. I still wanted to get my JD, so this has worked for me at this time in my life. Unfortunately, there is a disconnect with professors and students which is inevitable for online programs. The lack of support and isolation is felt so the right mindset is huge. Consistency is key and independent study is essential - but that is probably similar with traditional schools too. 😊👌
@@teresatorres-kq1dr thank you so so much for commenting and sharing this insight!!! There is nothing better than hearing from someone who has actual experience. I will be pinning this comment!!
I have been watching many of your videos on the Law School experience and I have been awaiting on your thoughts on the online law school idea. It’s pretty much falls in-line with many of the other people on RU-vid. The world has changed, it’s no longer on the process of changing, COVID-19 Proved that. I believe as long as students do their research they will be fine. No matter how traditional the legal system may appear to be they too will have to bend to fit into this new world.
@@Letstalkaboutitfab I appreciate your perspective and it will be good for others who view this video to see 😊! I agree that times have changed and the legal profession is adjusting and will continue to. The biggest risk factor with many online schools is the aba accreditation and ability to sit for the bar exam as if that factor is missing for the school then options are very limited for a person who wants to be a practicing attorney. I’m sure that will change over time along with other things!
Hi! Do I have to reside in u.s borders in order to do a fully online law degree (only coming in for exams) and would the degree be as valid as a normal law degree if the college im attending is ABA certified?
