Fun Adoption || Sky COTL animation 

A few days ago i met a moth at home and they spent almost an hour just skating and jumping on things and trying out random emotes and trying to unlock all the actions in our friend tree but failing to understand how to use each one. When they finally did, they proceeded to high five me 20 times. Tried to talk to them through a table, I said hello, and they just honked and tried to climb the eden door.

and then all of that only for them to probably never come back once they leave

I finally had my first full playthrough after years of neglecting sky. Until I got to Eden I was absolutely fine soloing the whole thing but one foot inside that absolute nightmare, I decided that I don't want to do this alone and had to jump in to the ice cold pond of "having to interact with strangers". My poor introvert heart died a little when I found a veteran player that was willing to help me out. They dragged me through most of it and I felt really, really, really bad because they had to rescue me so much but in the end I was happy that I found company for that scary place. All the helpful Sky players out there have my absolute respect and gratitude. You're awesome.

More than a year ago, when I was still a moth myself, a met a girl a few years younger than me named Kokoro. And whenever I see animations like this I can't help but think of her. I found her at the entrance to the graveyard, and since I genuinely enjoyed Gw at the time, I took her hand. Well, come to find out about a month later that she was TERRIFIED. standing at that doorway, looking down at the bones and kills below, she had contemplated turning off the game entirely because the wasteland played on all of her fears. Well. Then I came up to her. A friendly stranger, and offered her a hand. I guided her safely through the wasteland. I was the reason she stayed. The reason the felt safe and fell in love with Sky. We've been completely inseperable since. I'm honoured that such a small action had such a huge impact on her. She's one of my best friends. And I'm grateful every day that I have her in my life

This happened to me today but instead of yanking me through wasteland, they took me to the sanctuary island and spent a good 45 minutes throwing us into the geysers so we roll and hit the ground.

I personally haven't had this moment with being brought to GW or Eden, but I've had Moths grab my hand at Hidden Forest, sometimes with a full LEGION of Moths already holding onto them. Maybe one day a Moth will lead me to GW and I'll die inside. ❤️

Moths and veterans befriending gives the same energy as having 6th and kindergarten/1st grade buddies

It changed from “I adopt moths” to “Moths kidnap me” in Sky.

I can relate on both sides, but the thing is when I was a moth my veteran just stared at me at a distance not holding my hand, So I guess I gave them a free show during that, My moth now tho is ermm optimistic about the krills saying they're just nice animals wanting attention, so I let them be, though I lost a 'lot' of wls trying to drive the krill away from them everytime they try to ride it 💀

Not quite a moth, but just earlier today I got adopted by a veteran who decided to basically just taxi me around to all the wls I was missing and show me a safer way to the end of eden with a glitch, and it was super fun, they were super cool! There was also one point in gw when I was in the middle of typing and a krill spotted us, and they tried to fly off and accidentally let go of my hand and left me, but then immediately tried to come back for me, and I got nailed by the krill while they just got grazed, they helped me get all my wls back that it knocked out of me and refilled my energy with their candle, but then the krill spotted us AGAIN, and we both bolted but ended up going in opposite directions, and I realized I couldn't fly fast enough to get away so I just landed and slowly walked away from them until right before it swooped and I flew to the side really quick and DODGED THAT SHIT BY THE SKIN OF MY TEETH and turns out I had also ended up luring the krill away from them in the process and gave them enough time to take cover in a pipe, and then I ran and rounded up all the wls they had dropped and took cover with them JUST BARELY IN TIME to avoid being spotted AGAIN and I'm still not over it tbh I can hardly believe I actually pulled all that shit off I felt like a god damn SUPERHERO I'm so fucking proud of myself lol

i just let them drag me wherever,, only unhand in krills infested area and just watch from safe distance, come down to help when they get krilled ahahahaashdsh ive observed that it much more kinder for your mental health to just let them drag you and have a good time rather than trying your best to lead them and have them not following because theyre new and confused 99% of the time, also they get to learn from experience,, wouldnt die either since youre watching over them anw, win win

I was a TLP moth and the closest thing I had to a veteran adopting me was someone who led me to PNR in Eden and then logged off, only logging on a couple more times after that before abandoning the game entirely. Since then, I've helped out quite a few moths, though all have either stopped playing the game or don't talk to me because I'm too socially awkward to even start a conversation or teleport to anyone (though many of them still bow or emote at me when I see them around). One interaction that always sticks with me though is when one former moth, after doing a bunch of emotes towards me, had a friend presumably ask them who I was. They responded that I was the one who took them through Eden the first time. They left for prairie after that but something about seeing this sky-kid, now wearing a bunch of fancy cosmetics, remember me even after so much time has really stuck with me. To this day, they still emote at me for at least 3 minutes every time they see me.

1:33 lol My first time playing I went through all the realms then ended up at Eden and ofc I thought it wouldn't be that big a deal, so I didn't read the warnings about losing my light, so after Eden I got angry bc I just lost all my light so I rage quit and looked up why I lost my light and found out it's just part of the game to lose your light in Eden. Having to level spirits to get light back after reincarnation and having to find them again to level up your wings is like...the main point of the game xD I'm sure a lot of new people don't understand that so once they lose it all and see the end credits they stop playing a quit bc they think the game was over.

I decided to let a moth lead the way in Wasteland, and after showing them to avoid krill, they flew us directly into the face of one. I let go and left them to their chosen fate.

I've been so use to playing games on my own even in online games that when I got Sky I went through it by myself on the first run. When I got to the Wastelands I realized how dangerous the game gets and while it was scary and I lost some light I figured it out pretty quickly. Eden was the scariest part but I was able to reach the final area without dying. I didn't even know what the objective was the first time I got to Eden. I've just been playing games solo for so many years that when I got to the statues my immediate gamer instinct was to put light into as many statues as possible. When I finally died and was sent to the stars I realized while flying that this game is definitely ment to be played with others as I saw the spirits of everyone I encountered fly with me. Looking back I probably got more light then I should of on my first reborn.

Ive only played this game yesterday and i gotta say its the most wholesome game (and community) ive ever played. Whenever i explored around i always watched the little memory videos things whenever i found them. While i was watching one of them though, someone approached me and just kissed me all of a sudden. It took me awhile to realize it was the same person that was in the memory video i was watching

Oh my gosh! I remember being dragged by a moth. Then every skykid they encountered, they need to add as well. So we were flying as a big group and then some kids will fly away cause of spirits 😂 It was chaotic but it was fun times

I was the opposite as a Moth from what I'm seeing everyone experience. When my best friend found me in GW I wouldn't leave his side for anything. He even encouraged me to look around (Areas that weren't coated in giant shrimps) but I was like "Nah I'm good I saw what happened to Jimmy over there, that ain't going to be me next" (Jimmy being the other Moth I randomly friended during our little travel XD)

Reminds me of just yesterday when I went to Vault of Knowledge to get the Pray expression to go get Meditate/ Levitation Expression because one of my quests needed it. A random player knew what I was trying to do, added me, and glitched me through the Vault to get to the spirit, once we're back in-bounds at the spirit, we bowed to each other and went our separate ways.

For real, every time I help a Moth, they drive me crazy 🤣

one time i was doing a candle run in the wasteland and i found a moth despratly trying to get a winged light, so i friended them and flew them up to it. after that we went through the wasteland AND THIS MOTH DECIDED TO DO ALL THE MOST DIFFICULT WASTELAND SPIRITS oh my goodness, also we both accidentily krilled eachother haha

When I was a moth, I met this player that led me to like 7 spirits, and guided me through eye of eden for the first time, I unlocked our friend tree so I could give her a candle. I was so grateful😭

I was a moth when this happened I got through like the first quarter of the GW before this player cane up to me to light my candle They were a veteran and we became friends. For some damn reason they let me lead them through the whole GW and somehow we weren't krilled or even spotted once And until like a while back O didn't even know why people were terrified of GW

when i was a moth my first experience in GW was getting catapulted straight into a krill's face by the veteran that adopted me she told me it will teach me how to be strong and brave moth to face GW, 3 years have passed and we've been great friends since, i occasionally bully her in return

Ok, but why does this accurate depict the first time I dragged my friends through the Golden Wastes? I took them to the shipwreck, and they flew at the krill. I took them to the geyser, and they jumped in and were extinguished. I took them to the freaking Valley of triumph, thinking that at least was safe, and they proceeded to try to get the freaking Manta call spirit like - 10000 times. So frustrating. ....in case you're wondering, we do still play together, and we are still friends.

Haha this is such a cute animation. I had a veteran help me with that one quest in Hidden Forest where you have to avoid getting hit by the rain when I was a moth. I had no clue and was so frustrated that I kept having to start over. I was about to call it quits after starting over more than 10 times and he came to my rescue. I was fascinated when I realized he’s from Japan, while Im from the U.S. Oh yea, he also helped me with the treehouse quest and waited with me for others to join. Haven’t played with him since but I send him lights every time I’m on. Really appreciated his help as a moth :) I was able to pay it forward by helping another moth with that same quest too.

I let my moths get krilled at least once so they learn the fear. Of course I pick their wings back and light them as fast as I can but they need to feel fear

Experienced this. I have a friend I talked into playing Sky and they're absolutely CHAOTIC. We went to Eden and did the Prophecy trials. Now I need to drag them to do the Dreams and Abyss quests.

This nearly happened to me today. A moth had me by the hand and dragged me through to wasteland... and then the game crashed.

The new moths are always like: *"You're my friend now, we're having soft tacos later!"*

LOL, this is so appropriate for me! Just a few hours ago I helped a real life friend through Battlefield. They are an experienced gamer, so it was a lot of fun.

i remembered one time on the golden wasterland battlefield where my friend had opened the gate and activated the krill and i was still in the fortress, i'm pretty sure fortunate son started playing

I have 16 moths, some of them didn't play anymore, and some of them became veterans, and some still a moth because they rarely play the game and some were veterans in disguise 😊

While i don't look like a veteran (i just have the blue cape and the locs for hair) I have 10 stars on my cape and moths just jump at me. I tried to help a moth who wanted me to help with their daily quests, but they kept disconnecting and I just sat at home waiting for them to come back until we got everything done. Then they tried to ask me to take them through Eden and they disconnected during the second half of Eden and when i tried to find them they were in the hidden forest getting a spirit.

Ok story time, around 2 months ago i saved a moth from a krill by jumping in the way. Turned out they were a fake moth and r super rich so every day they send me a heart.
