I reslly like how you show the majority of these songs using the open chords. When I first learned a lot of them in different keys and chords that were more difficult to play, it took longer to learn the song. You make it so much easier for new guitarists to learn, and even old dogs like me, lol. Keep up the great work!!
Saw other podcasters teaching the song where the riff is farther down the neck (same key), but yours is more doable, Lauren. It's a really fun song to learn. Thanks!
Yes it's about having fun and being original. If they want a carbon copy let them listen to the original. I like your energy. Thanks for the detailed breakdown. You rock.
fun and challenging. great lesson video. love how you break it down in sections for us. I'm a Platinum member of your course and highly recommend to others to sign up to get access to all your courses. great value =)
Looking forward to continued growth with my guitar playing in the new year. I’ll most definitely be upgrading to “Lifetime” membership right after the first of the year. 👍🏻👏🏻🎸🎼
I really never was interested in this song, not my taste in music. But you just got me interested. Loved the fact that you didn't just stick to the chords, but also the strumming rhythm, and the more advanced intro. Something for everybody. I consider myself an intermediate to "sometimes more advanced" guitarist, and I love that I always get something to take home from your videos. Or as we say here in Chile, "siempre saco algo en limpio". Keep those videos coming. 🇺🇸🇨🇱🎸
The best tutrorial on Amie on the web. Thank you for all your hard work making this video with all the editing, popups, explanation, etc. Your efforts have paid off and very well appreciated. Thank You! I'm now a subscriber!
Thanks for that... I already have the song down at an intermediate to advanced level flat picking it ... But I did not want to finger pick the falling in-and-out of love part... this will do fine... I can pull it off... lol. Nice work.
Excellent presentation for the New Beginnings and Follow Thru. This song is kinda like Sound of Silence. In that. Multiple ways to play. Played at most any speed and everyone recognizes.
Bravo Missy, Great Lesson, Great Singing, Great Smile, I found you're donate button in the More selection, and gladly donated, lots of hard work had to be invested in this lesson and well worth a tip, you have a easy to grasp way of teaching, happy holidays and continue with more great classic rock songs
Catch up with you tomorrow, Lauren...🥱 G'nigt 1:30am 😴😴 P.S.- Fingerpicking- "Help me make it through the night" and "and I loved you so" (Don Maclean) tonight.. 🖐👈ouchie.😅
That was fun! 🎶🎵 I hope you had a wonderful Christmas 🎄 Lauren... We got a foot of snow last night here in Oregon.... ❄️🏔️🌬️ We had our White Christmas in the evening on Christmas Day.... Yay 😁 Looking forward to the new year and learning more guitar with you... 🎸 Thanks Teach.... 🍎
Oooo!! Too fast. But I love this song so I'll keep working it. I love the A G D in the intro. You can recognize the song right away! Another great lesson !
Hi Lauren, I notice that when you do the 9-11s slow you take your finger off the 9th fret when you hit the 11th fret. When you do it up to tempo you keep that finger on the 9th fret all the way through. Which is right?
As you teach or describe a new song lesson, could you say what the BPM is? I know some of us would be interested to play by a metronome I really appreciate your encouragement for us that just want to be able to play music. I realize now that I can play but needs hours of practice to get things right and smoothly. I have learned a lot by your close up views of either hand at work.
I really enjoy the way you teach. I am visually disabled and I appreciate the way you break things down. Is there any way you could put some textured soundproofing in the space you teach? The audio is a bit confusing with the refraction in that room. I think your sound would be amazing with with just a little touch of foam. Thank you for doing what you do. Do you have a Patreon account?
Thank you Matthew! Appreciate your feedback and I am so glad to hear that I am able to help you. Yes I do have a Patreon account here www.patreon.com/laurenbateman
Isn't this song on the A mixolidian mode. If it was on the aolean mode, the key would be in D but since the five chord is stressed (A chord), that would make the five chord the main chord of the song
Romans 5:5 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. 🙏🏻 Being hopeful is not shameful, always have hope and faith Jesus will deliver. Amen. Pray you had a lovely Christmas day, looking forward to New Year. Be safe. Blessings.🤗🤗🤗
