Absolutely amazing - so creative yet so simple. This is my first year as a head toddler teacher and I’m absolutely going to love using all three of these for my students. 💜
hi good dday! just starting my esl career since dec4 of this year would like to ask about more tips and strategies on what to do and how to do teaching materials that will catch an attentiion of little ones up to teens thanks
We live in southern Arizona. My 4 year old has perfected pulling cactus splinters out of various parts of her body with normal tweezers. These look like they'd be really fun for her. She loves slime. This seems less messy.
Hands on activities are always the best! Get a container of sand and some small shovels or other props and let the children play with it. After a day or two, add some water which will give the sand a new texture and new ways to play with it. Also reading lots of children books about the ocean and sea life will get their imaginations going. Good luck!
You could also use paint. It has the same consistency and you could use different colors for different projects (i.e. white paint for snowman, orange paint for pumpkin). Give it a try!
Jenny, thank you for the question! I would put out activities that will keep the children busy and easy to clean up, like play dough, crayons, legos or other manipulatives. I would suggest that at some point talking to the children about class rules. The children can give suggestions (they may say things like “no hitting") put all rules in positive terms (no hitting can be changed to “keep hands and feet to self"). As the teacher, you can add rules too (like “when the are turned off, everyone clean up”). Post the rules with pictures if possible and refer to them throughout the day. For classroom management, I would suggest lots of songs for transitions. I have videos with songs and chants for transitions and lining up. Keep it light and keep your little ones engaged! Good luck!
