love the colours and what fun. Acrylic and gesso that was interesting will have to try that. I loved the freedom and I like the idea to create a large piece and if so desire cut it down. The final paintings definitely works as a large piece,I love the combination of purples and greens,the final painting has a richness of depth and all the marks you made on top enhanced that.I love the Khadi paper too,and when I'm making my mixed papers sketchbook I add this paper.I agree painting everyday really does make your art better,and is also great for your creative wellbeing too.(Matt) p.s I am loving using the colour cube deck as well and pull a card every day

Lovely piece Denise. You mentioned music 🎶 to listen to while you paint. My hubby is a composer #pianomanmark and it's lovely to have his pieces playing while I paint. His music is very nostalgic, easy listening so it's perfect. Love the colour pallette you used...❤

I found that working in a journal with acrylics, if I got sticky pages I rubbed them down with Dorland's Wax and they were fine. Beat using waxed paper between the pages for sure.

Usually not a fan of purple, but the color palette today was beautiful. I love the idea of you using your piece as a journal cover. Every time you start making marks with a pencil, it always looks like you're getting ready to play hangman;) I recently purchased Sennelier oil pastels, and they are a game changer -- yes, there is a difference in professional-grade art supplies! I was using cray-pas before and had a lot of oil pastel boogers on my artwork. I devoured all of your content both on youtube and skillshare and you're one of my favorite artist! Love this! Also, this color palette came at a perfect time for me. I just found a purple shade that I absolutely love. It is so smooth and silky. Beautiful artwork and such a delight watching you create especially with acrylics. Wonder if you'll try out Derwent inktense blocks or inktense pan set some time? I have some but I don't use them much - beautiful colors and are permanent like acrylic ie you can't reactivate once dried. Would love to see how you'd use them. Thanks for sharing.

I absolutely love the colors in this piece. I have never tried Dick Blicks paints. I shop there but haven't bought those. Are they all matte? Love this piece as always . Have agreat week girl.😊
If you place your tape on cloth, your clothes, or your skin before taping your paper down, it removes some of the stickiness to the tape, and it won’t stick.
When you had right side as the bottom, i felt I was in someone's garden with a small grove of "pencil" trees middle of the left side. It is hard to describe landmarks in an abstract piece. I really loved the color palette. And ditto on where is the gold?
I bought a couple of Blick paint sets aftet Christmas. I need to get them out and play. Question, these are some of my favorite colors, and may be i missed it, but what color cube number was this? I am trying to put together a favorite pallet i like. This is a real beauty. Love the colors and mark making on it. ❤
